Players you completely whiffed on

No the question isn't stupid because you don't want to answer it and look like an idiot. It's a real question, who would you have as your QB, Dalton or Cam. It's not based on their draft position or who went before whom and at what cost. What it is based on is a personal opinion based on how they appear to you. So who would you rather have in a vacuum, Dalton or Cam.

Again, you're just making this argument into something it isn't. It was a simple question and not a stupid one.

Just because someone asks a retarded question, doesn't mean you have to answer it.

If you want to make the question better, and foster real discussion, you would include the other picks as well.

If you want to come off as ignorant, keep the question the way he had it.

Who would you rather have, Jon beason or Patrick Willis?

Man what a stupid question!

All things considered you'd have to take Dalton right now.

Cam has been great, but like you guys said, in a vacuum, Dalton is 4-2 and Cam is 1-5.

Cam over shadows him in stats yes but Dalton is actually playing well for a rookie with a lot less offensive fire power than Cam. Of course the Defense is a major key as to why Cinci is winning but Dalton is making plays, running the offense, throwing touchdowns.

When you have a defense like ours, how the f*ck could anyone expect to win? It isn't Andy that is 4-2, and it isn't Cam that is 1-5. It's the BENGALS that are 4-2, and the PANTHERS that are 1-5. Both QBs are exceeding expectations, but our defense (and most of the team for that matter) is lacking, and we've had a much harder schedule.

Not to mention, terrible mistakes (the timeout before the half, the punt return TD to Peterson) have cost our team greatly.

Cam is a winner, a phenomenal athlete, and has an extremely high ceiling. He has the potential and the drive to be the best there ever was. Sure, Dalton is more your conventional, cookie cutter QB, but he's not going to alter the game forever like Cam very well could do.

Dalton's been playing very well, no doubt. But no way in hell I'd rather have him than Cam. I wouldn't rather have him AND Green than Cam. Dalton may be a good player for a long time, but having watched him I don't think he'll ever be elite. I think Cam will. That's not homerism, almost everyone from the media to fans of rival teams to opposing players like Aaron Rodgers are saying the same thing. The difference Cam will make in the long run will far eclipse what Dalton does for the Bengals, in my opinion.

As SMF said, Dalton isn't 4-2 vs Cam's 1-5. The Bengals are 4-2 vs the Panthers' 1-5. There's a huge difference.
