Whats with Chud and the dreaded 3rd and 2?

i guess it's good that we get practice trying to go deep for those 3rd and 2. when/if we get good at it, it could make us lethal. sucks right now with them trying to get the hang of it... if that is what they are trying to do.

Not sure why we just don't run a QB draw with Cam on 3rd and 2 75% of the time. He'll get it way more often then he won't.

Oh, and, we're averaging 158 rush ypg in our last 3 games, which would place us 3rd overall in the league, so I disagree with us not being "a good running team this year."

We aren't a power running team, all the plays are finesse or misdirection plays. When it comes time to line up in the I form and run a dive or blast, it gets smashed and ends badly.

I agree with that. It still doesn't mean that the running game hasn't been good.

I think Chud has the play calls for D-Will and Stew mixed up. Stewart gets called to hit the outside holes while Dwill gets the inside calls and I don't understand it. 3rd and 2 should be Stewart all day up the middle or sneak it with Cam. The worst that will happen is 4th and inches

I think we need to get Cam scrambling a little more. Defenses are getting used to him as a passer. His athletic ability will make him more dangerous.

And yet in the same game Stew picked up a 2 yard td against a goaline defense sooo... Stew has been money this season on power run plays.

There is one thing we do know, the passes aren't working.

I see no reason NOT to try the run, even if it isn't working well throughout the game.

Hell a designed QB run is better than a fuging deep TE wheel route lulz

I'm seeing a trend. 3rd and 2, you are marching down the field and Chud tells Cam to throw a deep pass, which 90% of the time is overthrown/thrown out of bounds/ or missed. 3rd and 2....the easiest down to convert. Just frecking get the 1st down, by either A. Running or B. Short Slant route and get the frecking 1st down!!!

yes, it was turrible. At least set up a play where he has the option to run, not a seven step drop.. COME ON
