I kinda disagree. Cam has made the team better, but he has also made it worse. If Clausen was out there, the rest of the team would be trying to win games because they know Clausen wont get it done. the rest of the team will catch up. the defense will get better, probably next season when we get beason back and fix a couple things. the offense is catching up now and should be quite a bit better by the end of the season.

give these guys a full offseason and this whole team will be dominating.

Dalton is ROY???? what? His team may be doing better...Cinnci's defense is way better than carolina's. He's not carrying a load similar to what Cam has to do. Cam is forced to drive down field every possession to even keep us in the game. Thats way more pressure to face. And not to mention all of the rookie QB records Cam has already broken. Given the circumstances Cam has done far more for this team than Dalton has for his.

This is a good thread. Good points. Here is the deal. Due to the lock out the only thing the Marty and the coaches could do was prepare for the draft. Since we had the first pick and bc it is so important and you can't really know who you'll get an opportunity to choose in later rounds they put everything into the Cam boat. Not to mention they finally realized they needed a franchise QB. Now that we have a coaching staff and a franchise QB in place I think we'll see a much better job or rounding out the team this coming offseason.

Offense is pretty good other than Oline depth if Otah doesn't show up the rest of the season and maybe another WR, though that may be okay with Gettis coming back and NL and BL both showing improvement.

I think if there is a stud CB or DT at our pick we'll take them if not trade back. We still have Hogan, Edwards and Beason (maybe TD) coming back so we may only need one or two true starters and then depth. I have a feeling we'll see significan improvement from our defense next year.

Exactly. It's not like Cam isn't part of the team. Take and away and we'd be worse, yes. But he's our QB. Look at the Colts, take away the Manning and look where they are now. But when he is there they are playoff team (although not good in playoffs) year in and year out.

After going back and watching each game several times, Cam threw the ball better and ran the ball better in the Atlanta game than in any game this year.
