Lets look at the end of the year..

Sub 3k yards passing, 18 TD, 14 int (will probably be 22 int once the Steelers/Ravens get through with him, they could also result in his severe lack of yards), is more than enough to make him one of the best rookie qbs ever.

Dalton, Flacco, Sanchez..... all amazing qbs that carried their teams to wins their respective rookie years.

You are right about that although i believe they had their eye on Ponder. When he went off the boards early the Skins traded down for Kerrigan, a solid pick i may add. But yes Dalton in the late 1st round would have been a God sent when you look at it now.

How can anyone rank Dalton ahead of Newton? Cam has rushed for nearly as many TD's as this ginger has thrown for.

I was watching ESPN this morning and the guy was giving out midterm awards. Cam got it for offensive rookie of the year. There was no mentioning of Dalton in the conversation what so ever.

The truth is, people can tell Cam is truly helping a team that is going through some serious growing pains and it shows in the w/l column. The defense is the weakest link on the Panthers team, not Cam Newton.

As the analyst ESPN said...Cam is "entertaining to watch...He is truly and entertainer and an Icon."

Take nothing away from Dalton but u have to compare apples to apples and Yes, the Bengals is winning more than the Panther but how much is truly the contribution of the QB and how much is simply being part of a more mature team. vs. the Panthers

No doubt Cam is the better QB, but I don't get worked up too much about the comparison. This team is going to be great in the coming years with Cam at the helm. The Bengals will always be mediocre at best with a terrible front office and coaching staff.
