Breaking News: Denver plans to deal QB Cutler

anybody recognize any leadership ability in Jake when he played his first 3 years?

how many 4th quarter comebacks did he have from 1998-2000?

what was his QB rating like?

what was his W/L record like his first 3 years?

we are only going to judge him during the years where he was set up with a good situation and his shortcomings were successfully shielded as much as possible. That's the only way to be fair. Oh, we are also going to omit the last game of the season, that playoff game. It was the coaches fault so we are going to give him a pass. And the last two years with Henning. Henning is a terrible play caller and will ruin a team's offense. Miami last year is a fluke. We are also going to eliminate from judgement the games in which the defense gave up more than one score because that is their fault for putting too much pressure on him.

Personally I don't see how in the hell he isn't in the HOF already.

And that makes it OK to go on and on and continue to stay off topic?

what does that mean? I have never liked the guy as our starter. backup yes but not a starter in spite of the "good times" he has had over his career.

Sure he's made good plays..so what. he's made jus as many bad ones and I do not have any faith in the guy...at all. Partly because I think he got lucky as hell on a good deal of the good plays.

the guy just is not talented...period

The next person you can find who supports his being the starter here who has ever said anything even remotely close to this will be the first one.

I couldn't agree less. So Mr. Scot, Murph, X-Clown, rayzor, me, etc. etc. who support his being the starter are all snugglers even though none of us have ever said anything like that?

Yes there are people who are extremes each way, I am not saying there aren't. I am only saying that the mentality you describe isn't a prerequisite to supporting him as the starter.

to like him you have to adopt that mentality or something very close to it. all of the snugglers are guilty.

I haven't really seen that anywhere. I am happy with Jake as our QB and I never said nor believed any of that stuff from your previous post. If it makes you feel better to IMAGINE that we are saying that then go ahead. An imagination is a good thing :)

You complained in another thread that "Jake snugglers turn every unrelated thread into a thread about Jake" and said that people were taking threads off topic in the post I quoted. I brought attention to the fact that another member who shares your same opinion is the one that brought Jake into the thread in the first place, and you replied that those who continue to talk about Jake in the thread are childish. And yet here you are, continuing to whine about how much you hate Jake as you do in nearly every one of your posts in a thread that's about Jay Cutler. You did the same thing in the Dwayne Jarrett thread. Again, you're the classic example of the pot calling the kettle black.

    • It appears that he sees things differently than the QB and OC, so Cam's advice is spot on. It isn't about number of targets, it's about quality of targets. Trust and being on the same page. BY doesn't know how to anticipate what XL is doing. And XL doesn't like where BY is placing passes. One on one film study would go a long way. More for BY than XL though. He has to adjust to XL. I really don't think XL can adjust on the fly.
    • If the team shows improvement, then he shouldn't be in danger of losing his job - even if the record doesn't reflect. This was a very young team (with a lot of new vet starters) that overperformed last season. Somebody's doing something right. Consistency is key with so much youth. And we're potentially looking at new starters at ILB and FS. Those are positions that take time to fully understand the defense. ILB calls the front 7. Safety calls the back 4. Injuries at WR and IOL killed the offense last season. Depth needs to be upgraded. Same with Edge. I think they would have won more games if Pat Jones doesn't go down early. Be smart with the roster and draft. Trade players for assets when it's time to pay them more than they're worth - yes, that includes BY if he doesn't make a pretty big jump. That's one of the many reasons Tillis is as important as anyone to the future of this team.
    • He had heart surgery a while back he looks Fraile I hope he is okay
