I am done being pissed at our losses

It is pointless for me to get upset when we lose. I am sad that we couldnt make a decent run at this season. I have to force myself not to expect the wins this season, instead watch the games for glimpses of the future.

But wait, there is still 6 more games!

I think the best thing to do as Panther fans is hope that Cam and the offense can run some good plays, learn the system, and get better. I have faith that Uncle Ron will come building a great defense, because he has proved that he can. Hopefully we can pick up some great young talent in the draft, and that Cam will draw in some great proven vets.

I for one really hope we at least beat Atlanta, how sweet would it be to knock them out of playoff contention! :lurk5:

In the words of the former...

It is what it is.

It is okay to be pissed. Just keep you eye on the ball. We are soooo close and Cam is going to need more experience to eliminate stupid rookie mistakes and turnovers and our defense needs to be infused with a ton of new talent.

But I believe in the vision of this staff (especially offensively) even if it isn't giving us satisfactory results this season.

Last week vs. the Lions, I legitimately got really pissed off. To the point I had to leave the room. This week I have been kinda numb to everything Panthers.

But its like anything, we can only go up from this point. We will have the tools in place, I just hate that it has been 2 seasons in a row where I have felt like this.

Under no circumstance this year am I going to rout for us to lose. I just hope they can get the L's, meltdowns, turnovers out of the way, because I really will not accept any excuses next season.

2008 Wheels fell off, EPIC meltdown in the playoffs

2009 .500 season, Jake Delhomme era is over

2010 Cleaned house, got rid of all of our deadwieght, ROCK BOTTOM

2011 Glimpse of hope, Official Rebuilding year

2012 No Excuses....

I've haven't gotten pissed about a loss for some time now. At this point it's just comical how bad we are and how we invent new ways each week to lose games.

The only thing I'm frustrated with is that there doesn't seem to be any accountability within the organization and we're moving forward with basically the same people that got us to where we are now. I don't really see next year being much different. Maybe a few more wins but I doubt we have a winning record much less a shot at a championship. At least if that happens enough will finally be enough and some major changes will be made (hopefully).

how do you know there's no accountability?

are you talking about hurney? other guys on staff?

what do you want? people to get fired this season because we aren't winning games yet.

they've just started on a new direction. give it more than a couple months before you start calling for heads to roll....not that anyone will listen to your groaning.

Trust me, if we're losing, you'll hear plenty. Injuries, schedule, refs, unlucky, young team, guys still learning, and on and on and on...
meh...it won't fly.

injuries might have an effect, but enough guys should have a clue about what they are doing and will have had enough time in the system to know their jobs and be proficient in it.

that isn't saying that we will get into the playoffs, but i sure expect them to be legitimately in the conversation.

    • It's not only about the draft spots, the scheduling is a huge factor. We already have a tough 2026 schedule by playing the North divisions, that's possibly 7 playoff contenders there and a few true SB contenders between the Lions, Packers, Vikings, Bears, Ravens, Bengals, and Steelers (Browns will still suck lol), while also pulling the AFC West for the 17th game. Let's just say for the sake of argument we are going to be true contenders in 2026 in both scenarios Would you rather go 9-8 and to make the playoffs as the last WC or worst division winner, lose in the first round and then have to add likely the Eagles/Commanders, 49ers/Rams, and Chiefs/Chargers to an already tough schedule because we have a 1st/2nd round finish this year, while picking 19th in the draft (where the worst playoff team picks) or Or lose an extra game to finish 8-9, while ending up in 3rd (obviously need Falcons/Bucs to get a WC spot) and miss the playoffs, but then get to add likely the Cowboys/Giants, Seahawks/Cardinals, Broncos/Raiders to the schedule while picking 13th in the draft (the highest an 8-9 team picked this year). I can understand why some people would just want to go to the playoffs again, and I can't fault that thinking.  But I'm always a bigger picture person and looking at what is best for the future of the franchise and winning a SB, not my immediate feelings that game/season.   So I'm taking those 3 SIGNIFICANTLY easier games and the 6 better draft spots. If we're a true contender in 2026, those 3 games based on divisional finish could very well be the difference of a 1 vs whatever seed.  Right now the top teams in the NFC are the teams who play in places you don't want to have road playoff games at... GB, Detroit, Philly are some of the toughest stadiums to play in, especially if cold weather games for the outdoors ones.  Give me the few extra easier games to hopefully make the difference in getting home field advantage. Making the playoffs to just lose in the first round isn't worth the first scenario to me when the alternative is losing maybe one or two more games while looking better while doing so.  I can stomach those extra losses in a much improved season when it's for the betterment of our future.
    • We also watched Cam take Carolina to the SB but how much did his career change when he went to the Pats? See how that works? You create a post just to rag on player on another team just because you hate. You love to do this stuff. I've seen it for a few years. You are one of the main problems on this site. Not just y0u but you're definitely one of them. This topic should be in the nfl general chat. As a mod I would think you would understand that but no. The mods need mods around here.  This is for Panther's material. Can a real mod move this thread to it's proper place please?
