Wharton feeling better.

Still waiting on hearing about Fua and McLain

Neblitt really stepped up, great thing about having guys who are prepared to play by the coaches and getting these opportunities.

Asking about DEs right now.

Hardy and Johnson both did a great job, Applewhite too, give us versatility with the way we can run our D

What do you think about Cams success/magnitude so far?

We drafted him b/c we believed in him. Very professional, poised, everything we hoped he would be, all came together so quickly, still a process but hope it grows from here.

He will be the first one to tell you he has so much more to learn.

Listening to Shula/Chud talk about him after the game....thought he could have played better but overall a good game. Want to find opportunities to teach and grow and get better.

On the Legadu play:

We have practiced it for a couple weeks, Chud asked Rivera what he thought about it, was well received.

Decision to use it- timing was perfect.

I think we needed a little boost, didn't want to stall out and kick a FG, in the red zone, want to find a way to score a TD.

As we saw with GB, they can win if we don't take that opportunity

How much of 1st quarter does Chud script?

I don't think very much, takes suggestion from position coaches, offensive coaches, they work well as a group. I'm sure the beginning is scripted but after the first couple series they decide what they are comfortable with and what they recommend.

Can't have a definite script because always need to be adjusting to the current moment.

What is the best thing about the progress of our O/D?

Coming together, understanding the offense, how the run fits, where guys are going to be. When you watch the tape from yesterday, you can finally see how the O line is holding together, D line gelling as a unit.

The way CJ and Hardy played, were doing the things that need to be done to win football games, understanding where guys are in the secondary with proper communication. If we have that feel, we can make the tackles and we are off the field. Not giving up the plays like we were earlier in the season.

How fortunate do you think you are with drafting Cam, having him as a leader?

Extremely. We have someone deemed as a franchise qb, drafted him to compete in our conference and win Superbowls. He can have all the success in the world, but if we can't win games, its not a good day for us.

Really proud of both sides of the ball yesterday. That was the most balanced our offense has been all season and while I love seeing Cam throw it all over the field, I think we're at our best when we mix it up like we did yesterday (at least for this year).

I think next year Cam can win it all with his throwing and just using the run as a compliment a la Aaron Rodgers because the game will have slowed down for him.

Defensively, again, I hope we see a lot more of Kearse and Neblett. They were difference makers yesterday. Maybe Fua will be better next season as most DTs take a season or so to get comfortable, but right now Kearse and Neblett look much better and our defense looked much better with them in there.

wonder if he was asked about Raheem's postgame comment about how "I can handle losing to a better team ... wish they were."

I saw you at the Teet yesterday but I was all the way across the store and you were checking out leaving. Didn't want to yell all the way across the store like an idiot.

So....Heyyyyyyyyyyyy!

Which time? I was in there twice. First time, around noon, I was just getting a sandwhich after leaving Mass.

I love that Teeter (on East Blvd.) I have never been in there and not seen at least one beautiful woman. Every single time there is at least one. Usually more than that.

    • 17% odds Better than the 0% chance that I figured we'd have at this point, but we're basically counting on the Bucs to poo the bed.
    • It will probably be head to head to determine the division winner since I believe we would have to win both to have a chance
    • So, Carolina (7-6) goes into a Bye Week while they sit on top of the NFCS with Tampa Bay (7-5). For those that don’t know here is how the tiebreaking procedures work for the Division: Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the clubs). Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference. Strength of victory in all games. Strength of schedule in all games Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed in all games. Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed in all games. Best net points in common games. Best net points in all games. Best net touchdowns in all games. Coin toss The Panthers are currently 7-6 with a 2-1 record in the division and a 5-3 record in the NFC. The Bucs are currently 7-5 with a 2-0 record in the division and 5-3 record in the NFC. *Should the Panthers make it to Tiebreaker #5 they will almost certainly lose since this team enjoys winning in the final minute each week. Hopefully, they can avoid letting it go that far. Remaining Schedules: The Panthers round out their schedule with: ·       Bye Week ·       @ New Orleans (2-10) ·       VS Tampa Bay (7-5) ·       VS Seattle (9-3) ·       @ Tampa Bay (7-5) Tampa will round out their schedule with: ·       VS New Orleans (2-10) ·       VS Atlanta (4-8) ·       @ Carolina (7-6) ·       @ Miami (5-7) ·       VS Carolina (7-6) So to make this even more complicated, you need to cheer for the Saints this week and be prepared to hate them next week. Hopefully, them, the Falcons, or the Dolphins can give us a hand along the way. Conclusion: The easiest path forward is to beat New Orleans and sweep the Bucs. However, that would be too easy so we may need some help from our cousins in Georgia and Louisiana. Personally, I think Miami may give Tampa some problems since it looks like they are starting to turn their season around. But knowing us, we will find a way to lose to the Saints and somehow beat Seattle just to keep things interesting. There is 1 quarter of the football season left, and the way I have it figured that’s kind of how our playoff chances go over the next 4 games: By finishing: ·       1-3: (Eliminated, even if one wins against Tampa, it won’t matter) ·       2-2: (50% chance depending on who we beat, if Seattle/New Orleans- No. If Tampa both times, maybe if not likely, would still need some help from somebody on their schedule). ·       3-1: (Very likely if not certainly. Would mean sweeping the Bucs and either the Saints/Seahawks OR beating Saints/Seahawks with at least one win against the Bucs) ·       4-0: (Dust off your Sunday best and clip your nails, we are hosting a playoff game!) So get ready for meaningful football in December, because it’s here for the first time in a long while.
