A good game by the defense does not excuse them for being horrible all year. I have been saying all season dont drink the kool aid on this offense, there not legit yet. O line is shaky, only one consistent receiver, and a rookie QB who is going to make mistakes. When teams make adjustments our O shuts down after starting really well at that in most games. Thats to much of a drop in the middle of a game to be considered one of the best offenses. If that doesnt tell you something i dont know what will.

Guys keep in mind that Cam has also yet to have a comeback win during any of his losses.

Which would you think is more responsible for the offensive performance:

A.) A coach who has been coaching for 16 years

B.) A rookie quaterback?

If Cam melts in the fourth, as some say, then why doesn't Chud call plays that are both productive and also insulates the team from being hurt from within. I know you can't prep for Ints, but you can reduce the risk percentage. I'm not sold on Chud.

did you watch the game? what do you think Chud was doing in the 3rd quarter when he started calling screens?

That's what I've been telling everyone. I hope Cam proves me wrong, but I just don't see the "it" factor. Sure he wants to win, but he doesn't seem to be able to make the plays when crunch time hits. Some say he's a rookie and I should give him a break. I don't see it that way. He has all the athletic ability in the world, but for me there is something missing when the game is on the line. Sure the defense blows late in games, but Cam has had opportunities late in games and doesn't get it done.

but cam has had bad playcalling in the 4q all YEAR. all you need is 5 YARDS. with a running back on fire, and screens that have have been working all day.

cam has the it factor but hes had terrible PLAYCALLING and lets not forget MARE lost the minnesota game which cam lead to the redzone

It's confidence. He doesnt really seem to bounce back after mistakes. Everything's going well and hunky dory and Cam plays like a beast. The second something screws up,tipped ball intercepted or a few 3 and outs and he changes everything about his mechanics and decision making. But if you noticed when teams take away the sideline throws he struggles mightily with consistency, hopefully it improves in the offseason.

that's something I finally noticed after seeing it a few times.. he needs to talk with Drew Brees.. they both have the same reaction to drives that fail, but Brees comes back out and plays consistently..

I think it's a bit unfair to say Cam hasn't had any come-from-behind wins, when he's gotten the team into easy chip shot range for 2 field goals to tie and win games.

Plus he has had come-from-behind-ties, where the defense has then given up that tie.

I think Cam does suffer in the 4th quarter but I think it is a bit silly to decide he isn't clutch right now as a whole. He bears much blame for this loss, but I think drawing any conclusions about whether or not cam has "it" right now is premature at best and downright idiotic at worst.

I'm not saying trade Cam. I'm just starting to doubt that he has it. I hoPe I'm wrong, but right now I'm not sold on him. He may put up numbers, but the questions is..... Can he win when it's clutch time?
