Keep or Sell?

You can get something to help with the oxidation. I had a paint job that looked like it was going bad...used one of those products for oxidation and then looked like new.

At 151k your Honda is just barely broken in. Spend $25 then prentend like you are making a car payment..instead save that money.

I had an 88 Accord with a 5 Speed, 200k on it, ran like a tank, and kept it until I got a job with a car allowance. Sold it to my brother in law who drove it for 4 more years before selling it.

If you like it just do a Maaco for 500-800 bucks or whatever. If you don't like it a few minths later you can still sell it...

I have a 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee that I want to get some body work done and a repaint - it will be a Maaco special as well.

The clear coat in the oxidation areas is pretty much gone. The lady who owned it before me never took care of the exterior, so that may be why.

The reason why I'm asking this question is because I'm a broke college kid who doesn't have the money to throw around. The car is worth about $3700 or so if I were to sell it right now, and I'm tempted to sell it before the paint gets so bad that people don't want it.

Is Maaco a local Charlotte shop, or is it a national chain? Never heard of them. I live in Memphis, so that may be why.

Maaco was running a deal where they would spray ur car for like 250 or so. Im gonna get my girlfriends 92 honda civic painted before we sell it, there are a certain group of individuals who love those cars, especially with a new paint job...sboyld add about 1k to the.price ill get for it. Now where can I find some gold hundred spokes to increase the value even more?

You arent going to get anything for it. Drive it til something major goes wrong, like engine or trans.

Only exception is if you have a feeling that something bad is about to blow on it, If so, try to pawn it off on someone else. Just make sure it isnt a friend.

The only thing I could see going wrong with it for the next 100k is the clutch. I believe it's still on the original.

I guess based on the advice given I might just fork over $3-400 or so and get a spot paint job. Only the trunk lid and the roof need painting.
