* 2012 NBA Draft Prospects *

I've got a feeling MJ wants to draft Barnes. He may want Cho to try and trade down to do it though. Barnes frustrated the hell out of me being a Carolina guy but I would tune in to more Bobcats games to see him play.

Barnes makes the most sense for the Bobcats if they don't plan to move Henderson, because Beal & Henderson are basically the same height. If they drafted Beal, Henderson would become the SF. Combine them with either Walker or Augustin, and you have one of the smaller sets of wing players in the NBA.

If they draft Gilchrist, now you have BRICK CITY between Henderson and Gilchrist, since neither has a reliable shot. They could be awesome defensively, though.

Draft Thomas Robinson, and you still suck on the wings, unless you find someone later on who can be your starting 3. Robinson is not a "team changer". He can be solid on a solid team, but if your backcourt sucks like the Bobcats' does, I'm not sure if he'll be as good as he was in college, and no one is winning in the NBA these days without respectability on the wing.

If Jordan drafts Barnes, it'll be because Barnes has the height to go along with the offensive game. Anyone can develop a dribble, but you're not sure Gilchrist will ever develop a reliable jump shot.

I'll repeat the same thing I always say about "JORDAN". Kwame Brown was only a bad draft pick IN HINDSIGHT. When he was drafted, he was a consensus Top 3 pick, and being compared, potentially to Kevin Garnett. Why wouldn't Jordan draft the next "Kevin Garnett"? What ruined Kwame Brown was Michael Jordan deciding to come back and play instead of staying in the office. That pressure scarred Brown's psyche, and his career was finished after that. But the pick ITSELF, was not a bad one. Pau Gasol & Eddie Curry were #2 & #3 that year. That was a time when people were still getting used to European players, and Gasol would've never been anything had he not ended up in LA at the right time. The best player in that Draft ended up being Tony Parker, and he was picked #28. Everyone passed on him...IN HINDSIGHT. As for Adam Morrison, Jordan preferred Brandon Roy, but made a business decision, and went with Adam Morrison because WHITE CHARLOTTE wanted Morrison, so they made a ticket sales decision, because based on where Morrison was being graded, it was justified.

THE BROWN PICK WAS NOT A BAD PICK. He was going Top 3 regardless, but the Morrison pick was, because Jordan listened to STUPID PEOPLE who know nothing about basketball, in that case.

If Jordan passes on Barnes, he'll probably become an All Star, because most of the idiots in media and Charlotte are telling him not to.

The next time the media rips Jordan for drafting Kwame Brown, they need to rip themselves for hyping him as the next Kevin Garnett. Kwame Brown was hyped as much as Anthony Davis is being hyped now. SOMEONE IS EVERY YEAR.

Kwame was hyped when he came out but that's the thing with the draft...very,very few sure things. Look at Portland and Oden. Oden was the next great center and he could have been but his body kept breaking down. Everyone would have taken Down #1. Now they have to look at Durant who IMO is the best player in the game. Portland passed on MJ and also Durant...that's a real tough pill to swallow.

Barnes has the drive and a very good jumpshot. He really lacks lateral quickness, a great first step, and a handle. Can he develop them at this point IDK? He couldn't during his time at UNC. Hard to take him at #2 but then again everyone has weaknesses in their game.

whats with all this crap that hendersons jumpshot isnt reliable? his mid range shot is his bread and butter, its his inability to dribble penetrate and lack of handles as to why hes not our 20ppg guy.

if we were to draft beal which im not entirely against, henderson would HAVE to be moved. Which Jordan ain't doing.

I also have that feeling. I don't know man. I have a hesitating feeling when it comes to Barnes being drafted at all though. Maybe he will be better in the NBA? I don't know. He's hit some nice shots in his tenure. Would he be scoring 17 every night though?

    • I think in all honestly, the final 2 games are carrying most of the weight in a lot of Bryce talk IMO.    During the window where he "blew it out of the water" window......were a lot of games where he was not above average.  AZ is largely one of those stat sheet games.   Where the stat sheet reflects QB play that didn't exist in the game.  That game was all Chuba.  Meh vs Dallas.  Meh vs Philly.  Meh vs Giants.  Probably average vs Tampa, Den, Saints.  Bryce made HUGE strides vs what he was.  We should be happy.   But when you start comparing him to the rest of the league.....people I think are going too far.  His best aspect in reality.....is his scrambling.  And that's probably not a great thing give his size.
    • Mays and Zavala looked lost in the Reich offense.  Granted Zalava was probably playing too soon due to injuries but he looked terrible.  This new staff seems to be doing well with our OL.  I also wonder if having two vets in Hunt and Lewis just made life that much easier on whoever was/is playing center.
    • What the Panthers should target in order (via free agency or via trade): 1. Julian Blackmon  2. Mike Hilton 3. Jaire Alexander 4. Jalen Ramsey
