So does Freeman qualify as a starting QB?

I dont see how that particular criticism was directed at cam and cam only

The vast majority of people who said that were not talking about Cam at all.

It may have been that PFFL was referring to him being unable to outduel a "real QB" in the 4th but I think that is putting words in his mouth.

AFAIK, everyone who said that was talking about the fact our D hasn't been able to stop decent QBs all season and we've barely escaped from even some below average ones.

The difference in this game was turnovers and defensive stops. Both offenses moved the ball all day. Freeman played well and their offense put up yards. The Panthers defense got more stops and created turnovers. The Bucs couldn't stop our offense plain and simple.

As for the notion that we weren't good enough to beat a team with a starting quarterback, we put that to bed.

Freeman is a good young QB with a lot of potential. If the Glazers would spend some money on the roster, put some decent coaches on the field, and show interest in anything other than milking the NFL brand for their own gain, Freeman would produce.

If not, they should sell the team and devote all their resources to their beloved Manchester United.

Some of you nuts kill me...

Freeman is at least and average to above avg NFL QB. The bucs just suck this year... he completed like 14 passes in a row today.

If they get some help in key positions they could be decent next year.

Panthers on the other hand can be great next season.

Disagree completely. Yeah, the bucs have been absolutely terrible in every single facet(including the coaching), but behind all that is a QB that many(including me I won't lie) thought was on that borderline elite level and would possibly take that step this year.

Freeman has played like absolute poo all year. Poor decision making, flat out inaccurate down field, poor leadership, etc.

"Average/Above average" are guys like Sanchez, Flacco, Dalton, Alex Smith, etc. Freeman is mediocre at best. He's in the tier above Painter/Gabbert/Grossman/etc.

Why exactly did you make a new name, FIAS?

Something about me directly insulting a fellow poster; which I completely disagreed with.

I may rant about our media and protect whomever I choose with my postings but to directly insult a stranger who post on a site isn't my thing.

I remembered responding, tongue in cheek, to someone's comment about men's winnies but I get I went a bit overboard.

Oh well...C'est la vie.

Freeman was the least of the Bucs problems yesterday... he completed 14 passes in a row at one point and went something like 22 of 31 for 271 yards and one INT (on a tipped ball).

Rest of the Bucs played like crap and we buried them with our ability to score points.

Ahahahahaha! They're doing nothing but leeching money out of that club.

I wouldn't worry about Newton, or Freeman. Cam has weapons: Double Trouble, Smitty, Olsen, and Lafell as of late. Along with a solid O-Line.

Freeman has: Hell, I dunno.

If Freeman gets some guys around him, along with a possible new HC, I think he should bounce back.

I am not worried about Cam in the least. Although, I don't expect 4000 yards next season, but I expect less mistakes and more wins.
