I am so pleased at where we are headed, and I told you..

It could be MUCH worse. Ralph Wilson owner of the Bills last week said 'it will take us SEVERAL' more years to turn this franchise around. I told you there are much worse owners than JR in this league and RW is #1 hands down.

By the end of next year (Sans injuries) we should contend for a playoff spot. so from a couple wins to playoffs in 2 years? Detroit goes from 0-16 to playoffs in 3? Maybe someday they will wise up there in Frozen Buffalo and quit padding that old bastards pockets.

Anyhoo, It still amazes me, no offseason, new coaches, new systems and at worst we have 6 wins and have put the league on notice 'We are commin'...and hell is commin' with us!!!' in 2012 and beyond.

Restructure a couple deals, draft DEFENSE, do some slight upgrades (don't need to go ape poo) in free agency and We can challenge. Man it feels good to be out of the darkness once again.

Love the quote; "We are commin'......an HELL is commin'with us!!!. Maybe we'll see this on the jumbo tron just before the Panthers run out of the tunnel!

Fun Fact: Highlandfire derided Cam Newton, the thought of drafting him, and pretty much anybody who was in support of it prior to the draft

Oh well it was just Cam Newton the guy who's on the verge of the finest rookie performance by a QB, rejuvenated the fanbase's faith in the organization, openly has stated he's raising the standards of the franchise, and will pretty much be the de facto leader of the players by next season's opening.

That is a phrase that needs to be copywritten before you see it on someone's tee-shirt. Even "three-pete" wasn't as ingenius and that phrase has made that ex-Lakers' coach millions.

yeah you sure showed us

Dont forget Aaron Rogers who sat for THREE years.

Guys enough of this we gotta get him on the field Bull poo. he is NOT sam Bradford, or Payton manning ready.

Everyone, even his fans in the media, says this kid is NOT ready for at least a year and I agree.

Do you guys just want to see the new toy on the field even if it destroys his career? Or are you wanting a full career out of this kid with great success?

I don't want to hear he might be better than moore, Clausen, Pike or whatever, that just shows how pooty our QB situation is. You don't ruin this kids development because he is rated a 65 right now and everyone else is under 50. 65 still sucks ass.

We start him this year, with this team, a new HC, new staff, new systems and I will say right now with 100% certainty he will be a bust and it will be the Panthers fault, not his.

    • I probably would have become a casual Hornets fan if Cooper ended up there, but the NBA just solidified my apathy for its product. Hornets also got shafted when Lakers got cold feet on the Mark Williams trade. NBA is corrupt and that alien-headed Silver is the kingpin.
    • Most analysts from what I've seen are projecting next year's cap as closer to $298M but as high as in the low 300s. We saw a $24M increase this season, $31M increase last season, and $16M prior to that. There's also the inevitable cap casualties... A'Shawn Robinson being cut saves the team $8.5M. Damien Lewis would save $9M. BB3, Jewell, PJ2 all would save $5M each. Tremble and Mike Jackson could save $4M each. It wouldn't surprise me to see the team make a few moves that end up giving them closer to $50M in cap space to start 2026. I'm less worried about next year's cap space due to the upcoming UFAs for the team: TMo, AT, Tuttle, Wonnum, Nijman, Mays, Corbett, BC, Dowdle, Rozeboom, Martin, Rhattigan, Jansen, Scott... the only FAs I'm seeing on Spotrac outside of TMo that are must keeps are ERFAs Coker + Demani (so long as TMo's knee is fine, of course). 2027 on the other hand is going to be the offseason for Bryce's bonus option with Icky being the most significant UFA. PJ2, A'Shawn, Josey, MJackson, Tremble, Dalton, DJ Johnson, Zavala, and Bartholomew are the only other current FAs then. I'm of the opinion that they are all in on next season and if it doesn't go well, it's being blown up and starting from scratch. They're currently estimated to have $130M in free cap space in 2027.
