And what do you have against guns?

This is a football forum so I won't go into detail. Look at the world. Places where guns are readily available typically (but not always) have high rates of violence involving guns.

And if you want to pull out the argument that they may be needed for some future revolution against oppression, I don't think the arsenal private individuals have will match up well against a well-armed state. There are other answers.

But again, I prefer to talk football.

I take a gun with me everywhere. I normally conceal it inside the pants/belt line. Yes, even into BestBuy.

while i admire your paranoia, i don't understand why he needs three handguns and a shotgun when he goes shopping. the article says he was in charlotte but are we sure he wasn't actually in ciudad juarez?

Yeah, that's what the King George III (1776), King Louis (1789), Czar Nicholas II (1918), Bautista (1958), Mubarak & Ghadafi (2011) thought too. How'd that work out for them?

The ugly fact is that there are people i the world who won't be bargained or reasoned with, and who pay back the good intentions and efforts of well-meaning, civilized, and restraint-led people with violence. The only thing such people understand and respect is strength and the willingness to use it. I'm not a gun nut either, but I do believe that having the right to arm myself is a fundamental right for the protection of myself and the things and people I hold dear. As for the "other"answers you allude to, when they work they're great. When they don't, the bottom line is that each of us is ultimately responsible for our own defense and that of our neighbors against those who will not be constrained by the artificial boundaries of law and civility...just my opinion, of course.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
