This is what football is supposed to look like. I'd rather watch this than a SoCal beating of Western Idaho State Tech. Or even worse...SoCal getting destroyed by a horrendous ASU team.

Just look what these teams put up when not facing each other. They are the top two defenses in the nation.

LSU has been sloppy with their penalties.

Thats because this was a unusally bad year for the SEC. I watched the SEC this year and the offenses were garbage...

Florida, Tennesse, Auburn, Ole Miss, Miss St, Kentucky, Vandy, all straight bad... You need good QB play and qb play was horrific in the SEC this year. That is why I believe they put up such good numbers cause they got to play bad offenses most of the year.

I am sure if you look at offensive numbers for the SEC, they will not be good at all... I am sure the stats will match what my eyeballs saw.

This is what bothers me. USC that lost to ASU is a lot different then what we saw at the end of the season. Teams get hot and cold during the year just like the NFL. An early loss can kill a season when it shouldn't. Teams get better or worse through the year. I firmly believe USC that we saw at the end of November would easily compete with LSU.

The real USC? Please don't start this argument. USC was a school before Cal was a state.

As for scheduling an FCS team...they don't have to. They play in a conference with 10 of them.

A defensive game is one thing... A bad offensive game by a team is another...

Not saying Bama is not playing good defense, but t is a mixture of that and horrible offense by LSU.
