Trade rumors may have validation

Witherspoon over Morgan I said is one we lost, but I could see where the thought process is coming from. That one slipped by us pretty badly.

Other than that one, yeah Id say we handled the situations pretty damn well. Chicago did nothing with Moose there, they rode their defense and Thomas Jones and Devin Hester all the way to the Super Bowl. He wasn't worth what they paid him. It was proven in the stats, and the fact he was cut.

Moose worked VERY well in our offense with our limited QB. Whether he deserved #1 money or not he deserved it in our mix.

Draft led the team in tackles the year after Witherspoon did. Each was rewarded with walking papers while Morgan stumbled around the training room.

Morgan and Jake are the same..."25 tackles in the super bowl!" and "took us to the super bowl!"

The FO has very clouded judgment and fortunately have a very young and overall clueless fan base to hide behind until they figure this whole running an NFL franchise thing out.

oh noes the mighty omega of football knowledge crolls disagrees with me, whatever should i do. Take your canned whiny emo business elsewhere, your act is getting old.

It's not that i disagree with you Clown. You are just too transparent in your unconditional love in spite of the mistakes that were made. Homers are boring.

I'll be the first to tell you that Morgan overstayed his welcome, too many chances not enough production. But the chance of him being healthy over starting Draft? I'd take it anyway. Plus this is aside from the fact we knew we wanted to draft a linebacker high anyway. And we sought out Jon Beason. Worked out pretty well did it not?

We offered Moose a hefty contract. Chicago offered a little more. It's not like we just let him go. We had a number 1 receiver, he was the #2. Same dilemma they are having in Arizona with Boldin. Spend too much in one area, and you have slighted 2 others.

I don't see how people can show so much support for just about every move we have made, when we really haven't done sh*t as a franchise.

We don't even have a winning record as a team, and obviously the non back to back winning seasons. Much less Trophy.........

Obviously sh*t ain't as spectacular as you'd like to think.

I support this team and it's players, but that doesn't mean I have to sit here and agree with every move those currently in charge make. Obviously they haven't been so good as to make this team relevant in the league.(no one gives a sh*t about the Panthers)

As has been stated over and over, Fox and company have done every thing in their power just to make us a consistently mediocre team.

If that floats your boat fine, but that doesn't mean it floats the rest of our boats, so I don't see how people can get so pissy when someone disagrees with our FO or the moves they make.(or point out our obvious sore thumbs and flaws)

Wow, talk about an overreaction...

Finally a new perspective from a diehard. Maybe people are becoming more open minded and not just praising everything the Panthers do, whether its good or bad. Hopefully this trend continues.

Wow, you really have learned a lot from the whole week that you've been serial posting and reading our board. Of course, anybody who trashes our franchise at every turn like crolls is "openminded" because his viewpoints agree with yours as a rival fan. Guess what, none of that is new.

yeah the buc douche is just trolling now. I personally think ignore is for pussies so I'll just laugh at his feeble attempts at being clever.

I don't bash the Panthers at every turn but they have disappointed me in the way they handled this Peppers thing and I WANT IT OVER already.

Fox has disappointed me plenty as well.

I think Jake Delhomme is a swell guy without any real QB talent who is in a scheme that he is horrible for and does not hide his faults particularly well.

Outside of those topics, I have been Mr. positive sunshine around here.

 doesn't seem like you venture enough outside of those topics to see the sunshine.

    • What you are saying isn't always true and I'll give you several examples to demonstrate this. 1) The best player on the board at the end of in round 1 by all consensus is RB (top 15 player in draft who slips b/c of the devaluation of the RB position). Your team is in desperate need of a LT because the current one is getting your QB killed. You already have a serviceable RB in place. The LT has a 2nd round grade and you have the first pick on day 2 of the draft Who do you choose? 2) Your run defense was abysmal the previous season. A DT in round 2 does not provide much in terms of pass rush, but most reports have him rated as the best pure run stuffing DT in the draft. The two highest rated players on your board at the time are a TE and tweener at OLB/DE who slipped into round 2 after a run on WR's. Who do you choose? 3) Your pass rush rush is solid across the board. You even have guy coming off of the bench to provide production. Your secondary in below average. No Safety on the roster is a difference maker and as a unit the squad doesn't have an INT. The highest rated player on the board is a DE. The 5th highest rated player on the board is a an intelligent ball hawking Safety. Which player would make the team immediately better?  1) I think the BPA logic applies when your team is solid across the board and you can afford to draft for depth 2) I think it also applies when your team stinks and any solid player will be an immediate upgrade over what you already have. I agree that you should NEVER reach for a player when you are need at a position like we did for Bryce Young. But I also think if there's is a player on the board that will fill a glaring weakness you need to take him even if a player with a higher over all ranking is available at another position (which isn't a need)
    • Bryce Young excels at dividing Panthers fans. That seems to be what he's best at.
    • 184 yards game, 61% completion 11 tds 5ints    thats ranks :check notes:  25th in the nfl
