I'm sure he's a great talent, and we need DB help BAD, and I love smoking out too, but this shows a HUGE lapse in judgement, and you can't spend that high of a pick on an idiot.

I wouldn't be mad with the Dre pick...he's just not my favorite. I'll be holding out hope Richardson or Blackmon falls and a team wants to trade up to grab one of them.

A Richardson hungry team wouldn't trade with us as the teams immediately behind us are probably not in the running for a RB, so there is no reason why anyone would trade more for our pick vs less for the Chiefs pick...

Agreed. But you have to remember, GM's kind of are. I mean, a 1st AND 2nd rounder for Carson Palmer? Yeah, it was the Raiders, but teams can fall in love with a guy and want to make sure they get him.

kirkpatrick has too many caution flags for him to be anything close to a certain pick or even all that realistic a prospect at the 8/9 pick...by the panthers.

it's the easy pick now, though. doesn't require a whole lot of thought.

where do people have him on their big boards?

Scouts Inc. has him at 9. Kiper has him all the way down at 22.

I'm still ok with Dre, though he's obviously not too bright. He's my top pick behind Claiborne and Blackmon.

At 8/9 I'd take Kirkpatrick.

I think the Cowboys will want to trade up to get Kirkpatrick though. If they trade down I'd take Zach Brown or Brockers/Still.
