Why is the Super Bowl logo this identical to last year's?

This is something that has bothered me for a while now.

Typically, each Super Bowl has it's own logo which makes it's unique and gives distinct memories to those who were a part of it.

When i see the SB38 logo, it reminds me of that great season. I hope Goodell hasn't screwed around with something else that wasn't broken and crapped on it.

Anyone know?

They've sterilized the SB logos going forward, starting with SB XLV, I believe. I think the only aspect of the logo that will change from now on is the stadium to reflect the venue.

edit: Yep:

This now confirms the NFL’s previously stated plans to create a consistent brand for their jewel event, the only differences between the logos for XLV and XLVI are the roman numerals and a change of host stadium.

If they plan on keeping it, that's the final straw with Goodell for me personally.

It's not a huge deal, but it is the straw that broke the camel's back.

Chances are they just wanted some "brand recognition" they could cash in on, and didn't matter if it stole the individuality and claim to fame that those teams who win the SB earn.

Sorry brah, those don't invoke a "consistent, iconic identity" like the Olympic Rings! [/Goodell]

    • Oh please with the wallowing in victimhood I'm going to take my ball and go home routine. You were just in here referring to people as super weird haters because they don't completely agree with your borderline delusional spin on what Bryce Young is and isn't as a fourth year starter. We can hope by some miracle that Bryce Young will actually be able to lead a formidable passing offense this season without being irrational homers and pretending verfiable data and what we have seen with our own two eyes doesn't tell us exactly what he has been to this point which is someone who moves the ball at a historically low rate.
    • I am curious who's behind all of this though. A video and photos from years ago surfacing? Someone has a vendetta and is driving this PR campaign. I'm loving it, but I'd also like to know who said mystery figure is.
    • I say positive things about Bryce when he earns them. Which he has a handful of times. It is all here and on the record but your lobby won’t focus on that or the flat out truth inside of our critical comments.  It is a constant thing with him and his backers - one or two good things and people are trying to extrapolate that to proof we should commit to him, while ignoring or making excuses for the larger portion of his track record.  When he is able to consistently turn in franchise QB extension worthy outings the tone of the posts will reflect that.  I have already said that if he would play like he did in the WC as often as we need him to, I would be okay with keeping him.  See you don’t want to talk about that though because it shows actual fair minded evaluation not stanning.
