Sounds so conservative, I don't like it. I hate the "Well, we were good last year, so we'll be fine next year" approach.

I didn't say that, all I said was that I'd be happy with 12-4 in '09. Didn't bring up last year other than to reference the record.

We were good last year don't mean poo.

We go into the season 0-0 not 12-4.

The only time I would really care what we did "last year" is if that year we won the SB. Then I would refer to it for awhile probably.

yep.

only problem is, we have people still referring to 2003, and that wasn't even a superbowl win.

I think the criticism is unfair. He doesn't need to have been on the field or coaching to know about what he's there to do.nor does being a player necessarily mean that you'll be good at his job. He has the right skills for the job and that's all that matters. he can definitely listen to other people more (I feel sorry for McShay, a lot of times he's just trying to be the better man by not yelling back), but in terms of credentials I think it's unfair.
