A Possible Jake Delhomme Situation This Season...

this is hypothetical of course and just pertains to this scenario, trying to see what kind of opinions there are..

Say, if the tampa gay buttpirates start the season losing 5 of their first 7 games. With all 4 quartebacks not accomplishing anything this year, do the buttpirates pull the plug on brian griese, byron leftwhich, luke mccown and end their run as the starting threesome for the buttpirates... In hopes that the younger homosexual (josh johnson) will pan out for the buttpirates at a cheaper price (if you get my drift ;))

should the plug be pulled on all the under achieving ;) quarterbacks in this type of situation, or do you stick with the guy who has put you in multiple threesome positions?

fixed

If this happens, it will only further verify my feeling that we should have addressed our QB situation long ago.

By then it will be 5 games, and about 2 seasons, too late. Finally, do we really have another viable QB option?

Regardless of the the record, I expect him to play out the season.

Because it is?...

well the question of his intent would determine whether it is or not, flame bait is a funny thing some times it can be perceived but not actual, considering that he doesn't think he is according to his other posts at least he's acting like he doesn't intend it, but then again I used a similar tactic that got me perm banned twice on the same MB, but I was able to argue my case enough to get myself unbanned after the second time though the mods had a discussion and I was warned that if I pulled that crap again there would be no unbanning the next time to quote the angry mod "I have informed the other mods about you so that you are now being watched you pull that crap again you will be banned indefinitely"

bate:

1. To lessen the force or intensity of; moderate

2. To take away; subtract

?

huked on fonix wurks foar us.

sorry.

actually saw it as a legit question....although one that has been asked many times.

I'm a extreme dyslexic you would be surprised how much I use the spell check, I figure if it sounds right and the spell check doesn't show up with a red underline I take that it is correct.

it's not that I don't know it, it's just that I get typing and I cannot for the life of me how to spell the word.

LOL, my husband is dyslexic and he jokes that I am his personal dictionary. He'll be on the road and call me for how to spell something. You are spelling things ok, you are just getting confused with homonyms there ("bate" and "bait").

BTW, I used to be a great speller until I started to read as much on the internet as I do books. I always have to stop and think now because I see so much internet slang and bad spelling & usage that I question myself...so don't feel like you are the only one!

That said, I don't seriously bag people's grammar/spelling/wording unless I truly can't understand what they are trying to convey (which has happened with a few posters but not a lot) or they piss me off and I want to be a smart alec...lol

I thought it was a legit question......if the season goes to poo why not try another QB?

Doesn't matter whose 'fault' it is.

It happens from time to time in the NFL, and Jake won't be here much longer anyway.

7-9 with Jake is the same as 7-9 with Moore(or whoever)

Why do you guys keep saying it was the NFC championship. We lost the divisional round to ARZ.

Hey, lighten up. I mean, if the Panthers went 9-3, and then lost every subsequent game in humiliating fashion after getting steamrolled on Monday night in front of the entire nation, by a division rival, we would probably not pay any attention to the playoffs either. Especially if two members of our division were involved. That would be a source of shame for years to come to any fanbase with the smallest shred of pride.

    • He's not wrong though. You talk like a politician on here. Leaving yourself just enough wiggle room to say you never fully counted Bryce out if you need to....But we can all see it. Just say you think he is a bust outright and you will have to type a lot less. Obfuscating your opinion behind QB3 competitions etc....
    • Most EVs are in the 90+ e-MPG meaning some measurement house somewhere compares the EV to a similar ICE model and works out how much is costs to charge (on average) versus fill up as a point of comparison. Talking long term, in the hundreds of thousands of miles?  No clue.  Some early signs are that EV batteries maintain 80% charge over 400k miles.  So there's that.   The challenge and charm of an ICE vehicle is being able to park it under a tree, get your jack stands out and tinker with your engine.  There's just not that same level of complexity in an EV.  I saw someone estimate there are 200 or so moving parts in an EV, and 2000 in an ICE vehicle.  I'm not a part counter so I can't really speak to that. I think that the EV is more the future than any type of combustion engine.  Those will still be around in specific purposes, but for most people - an EV will be the superior option in terms of efficiency.  I say that as someone who loves stupid horsepower numbers out of turbo 4 bangers and inline 6s...  I am one of those tinkers when I can be. A bigger issue for EVs is going to be the ownership versus lease.  Right now, there are INSANE leases on EVs, which is great, but what do you have at the end of that lease?  Nada, maybe some equity if you're lucky.  Where as I'm almost done paying for my car, and plan to keep it until the wheels fall off (or my son wrecks it when he starts to drive).  Will EV makers do the smartphone thing and build in planned obsolesce?  Stop updating software?  I love the tech in EVs, and I think getting more cars and trucks off the road is a good thing.  But I am still just a little concerned.  Capitalism has gotten far too extractive.
