Linsanity

It looks like the NBA has a rising new star. I only wish Michael Jordan could have sign him, the Bobcats need more publicity, not to mention I believe Jeremy Lin will be a great player. Some are comparing Linsanity to Tebowmania.:D This has been a great year for sports.

Except I only expect Linsanity to have a 1 week run... Don't know I would call him a rising star... You have to be way more consistent over a much longer period than 3 games vs sub par talent... plus the reason he got cut was his lack of defense. He also needs to dominate the ball so when Melo and Amare comes back he will regress statistically. He reminds me move of like a Dragic... a Pg who can come off the bench and give you some good energy while your starters are down.

I remember my freshman year when Lin and his Harvard team came up to Boone and lost by 22 in a game where he was a complete non-factor. Needless to say, I don't buy the hype, and I believe the only reason he is being hyped right now is because he is playing in New York, and we all know how biased ESPN is towards their coverage of major market teams, no matter how good or bad they are.

Man, imagine the Knicks once they get all their guys back. A starting line-up with Stoudemire, Anthony, Lin, and Chandler!?! One more player, and they will have the NBA's first fab five.:D (Haha, lets see if they can overcome the Heat to be the best team in the east)

    • That makes me wonder, how many starting tackles in the NFL and/or elite tackles have short arms? I feel like there’s probably lots of tackles that end up being drafted in later rounds because they had short arms or didn’t have the physical tools.     also why not draft a tackle in the later rounds that we could move to guard or center if they fail, instead of drafting a center? If we draft a center we know they aren’t going to play tackle but if you draft a tackle they could end up playing any of the 3 positions, look at BC for example. It feels like it’s a better decision to draft a tackle in later rounds than a center.
    • Damn back to 10th. I only caught the last 5 minutes but some of those 3's were horrible lol. In that close of game you can't be launching those many hail mary's when you could be chipping away from the foul line. I guess no one wanted to get in the paint and didn't trust the refs to give them the calls maybe? Gonna watch the highlights to get a better idea of the flow of the game
    • I agree.  The Big 12 is a good conference, and he is the swinging dick in that conference.  If Bill Self retires, that sets Kansas back a bit, and Arizona moves even further ahead as the best team in that conference.  Arizona can crush west coast recruiting with USC / UCLA no longer being relevant for LA kids, and Gonzaga not being able to compete moneywise.   If Lloyd comes here, he will be second fiddle to Duke every single year in NIL and recruits.  Not to mention the entire SEC and Big East for kids who want to stay in those regions to play. This is why I keep saying go get Mark Few.  Has proven he can do more with less from an X / O perspective but can also recruit All American players and compete at a high level. He's a god at Gonzaga, but for $9M he'd make the move as that's 4x what he's making at Gonzaga, and makes him the highest paid coach in the country.
