Assuming we take Brockers/Coples in the 1st.

I would love to have Sean Spence in the second. Although he is undersized he is extremely quick, has great awareness and tackles like he has superglue on his hands. He bring a fire to our defense as well and even if you think he's too small he would also immediately challenge Martin at safety. He reminds me of a young TD and if he's there in the second I wouldn't have a problem with us taking him.

He's an undersized pursuit LB isn't he? I remember thinking that Beason was small coming out and he is 240. Unless he puts on about 25lbs then I think he struggles getting off blocks.

One guy I actually hope we make a play for in FA to shore up the LB position is Jarrett Johnson. I think he could play strongside linebacker in a lot of schemes similar to Kiwanuka for the Giants (probably even more versatile than Kiwanuka). Pretty sure Johnson is a free agent and the Ravens have got to be looking to get younger at LB at some point.

    • Bryce and Dave will determine how many games this team wins next year. It’s not on the WRs. The RBs. LBs. This is about 2 things: 1. Can Bryce continue to come up big in the few key downs that decide most games?  2. Can Canales evolve his play calling to counter punch like the big boys do. Half time adjustments.  teams that score 30+ points on the regular win more games than not. That’s on Bryce and Dave. The offense is top 10 at every position group, save for TE and QB. A baller TE is gravy but not crucial when the receivers are dudes.  The defense is the defense. It’ll be better this season, hopefully by a large margin, but Dave/Bryce is really where it’s at.
    • Normally I'd wholeheartedly agree with this. But I feel like teams figured out this offense after the Raiders game. Bryce was so inept the first 2 games that we couldn't really even run the offense. Dalton's first game showed what we had. But after that game, coverages got a lot tighter and windows were smaller. When Bryce came back in, his ability to extend plays made a big difference. It's really difficult to stop a QB that can beat/escape 1on1 tacklers. It puts a lot of pressure on the defense when you blitz. And he was completing throws in tight coverage with anticipation. Point being Bryce wasn't throwing to wide open receivers that were schemed open by the offense. Occasionally yes. But not often.
    • With the additions we've made to our roster combined with the state of the division and the conference as a whole there is no excuse for this team not to make a legitimate push for 8-9 wins. Anything less is honestly inexcusable. There will be no more free passes for being a doormat in this iteration of the league where even mediocre teams are competing for playoff spots.
