I think Reiff could go to Tampa.

So I've spent the past couple days trying to cook up my personal 1st round mock for February and Tampa was a team I came to think about.

Here are my reasons:

-Their OL sucks. I like to browse other team's forums, and one of the largest complaints during the season form Buc's fans was their inability to protect the QB and open holes for Blount. If that isn't a good enough reason for you (which is understandable, given how misinformed our own fans are about our own OL) then consider this-our DL manhandled Tampa's. We abused them. We got after the QB. We shut down their running attack.

-Schiano is a running-oriented coach. Reiff strength is grading, which is an asset to an OL that we have already established as terrible. Richardson is also an option, but RB is much deeper in this class than OT (or at least easier to scout) If Tampa went Reiff in the first and Doug Martin in the second, they would have two adequate, different style, backs, along with a shiny new OT on a bad OL.

-Tampa hates their fans. The Glazers would never do anything with the possibility of injecting life into their fanbase, such as nabbing a Blackmon or a Richardson.

-This article fromm Yasinksas on Tampa's CB situation. http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcsouth/post/_/id/31597/schiano-addresses-barber-talib-situations

So there you have it. I don't care for your opinions, I'm just saying you should update your mock drafts accordingly.

Additionally, this pushes another talent more relevant to us, which is beneficial.

INDIANAPOLIS — Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Greg Schiano hired LSU defensive backs coach Ron Cooper as secondary coach on Thursday, one of several additions to his staff.

Cooper has coached several stars at LSU. The Tigers featured two national award winners in Morris Claiborne (Thorpe Award) and Tyrann Mathieu (Bednarik Award) this past season. In 2010, Patrick Peterson won the Thorpe and Bednarik awards, and was the fifth overall pick in the 2011 NFL draft.

And....

He won't be turning in the card to the podium. I personally think the Bucs have more pressing needs on offense to worry about. The need O-line, WR, and a runningback something awful. They do need a corner but since it looks like they want to keep Talib, it's less of a liability.

Facing the Panthers, Saints, and Falcons twice per year the Bucs know they have to be able to score more points to start winning more games. They have to make the games more exciting to the fans, and be contenders in every game. Offense does that. See Panthers, Packers, Patriots, Lions & Saints of last year.

Rhonda getting old and Talib constantly getting in trouble... Also in case you haven't noticed this is a pass happy league. If Claiborne is there when they pick he will most likely be taken. Their defense was worse than ours last year.

I agree with that. But they have to protect their franchise QB to ensure chances to compete in the future, and they also have to get him weapons. They have to build the team around Freeman in order to succeed. They sucked on both sides of the ball last year, but they have to make sure Freeman makes strides going forward and they have to build his confidence up because he looked rattled all last year. With a franchise QB in place they have to get a franchise LT, a playmaking WR, and develop a run game. Their defense might have to suck for one more year.
