If we take Luke Kuechly who plays MLB?

Players always say they can play so their opinion is not as important as the medical ones. Tell me if Davis said he couldn't play either time before he tore his ACL again.

And the point is that there are some linebackers who can play Sam or Will

in the draft. Name me one linebacker who can play Sam, Will or Mike and be an athletic upgrade to whoever we have on the team presently. Yeah that would be Kuechly. The only advantage Beason has on him is experience. But coming out of college Kuechly is head and shoulders above where Beason was and he was a senior while Kuechly was a junior. Beason showed he struggled at Will. Sure it was college but Kuechly played it as a freshman and was 2nd in the country in tackles.

DT was a major issue bcause edwards was on IR and the other two were rookies. This year Edwards is healthy and the other two have expereince under their belt. So the issues of last year won't be a repeat this year.

1. Beason isn't know as a injury prone player and hadn't missed a game until last season. So sue me if I trust his opinion on his injury situation. It short sighted of you to even put him and TD in the same catagory when it comes to injuries.

2. Zach Brown, Mychal Kendricks, Terrell Manning*, Keenan Robinson, Nigel Bradham, Sean Spence, Lavonte David, and Ronnell Lewis* all I think can come in a be a upagrade at either will or Sam over every thing we have after Anderson and TD.

Again I like Kuechly but Curry also had the college resume and production and has been a bust any player can be. I'd rather spend a later pick on this position.

3. Same thing you said about Beason and Davis can be said about Edwards so it's not a sure thing with him. Plus I like Mcclain and thought he played better as the season went along. But Fua sucked all year and i don't think he has the frame or athletic ability to do what we need him to do. He maybe a ok rotation guy 1 day but i don't count on him making it.

Why do you weirdos love RB's and LB's?

Do you think that San Fran would pick a LB at no. 9 if Patrick Willis had been hurt the year before....for the first time in his career?

Good lord guys, you don't have to take LB's in the 43 this high, especially if they aren't competing for the Mike.

Didn't SF draft a situational pass-rushing LB 7th overall last year?

    • If there's a pattern I'm definitely picking up from Dan and company is a philosophy of making trades where we try not to sacrifice the number of draft picks we have by day's end. In other words, we're not giving up three picks for one, or giving up a future pick to make a pick today. And even if we give up something at the start, we make trades later to make up for that initial loss. Here's how it stacked up for 2026: How we started: 19, 51, 83, 119, 158, 159, 200 How we ended: 19, 49, 83, 129, 144, 151, 227 (no future picks sacrificed) Ultimately, we moved up two spots in the second to ensure we got someone we coveted, gave up a few spots for our fourth round pick, but then had better picks in the 5th (and got really good value out of them), and had a worse 7th rounder which isn't that big of a loss anyways.  At this point, we can question who they draft, but they're pretty good maneuvering across the draft board.
    • I just saw the funniest thing...or very disappointing, depending how you handle misery. A guy on YouTube did a 2027 'way too early' mock draft.  If I told you the simulator has the Panthers selecting in the top 10 , what would you say?  If I told you it was pick #8 and only two QBs were taken in the top 7, what would you say?  If I told you this dude had us taking a defensive player, what would you say?
    • It is due diligence at that point. Irresponsible not to take him.  Crossing my fingers on this one, he has everything you look for except experience.
