If you had a 12-4 team, would you either:

A) Retain as many of your starters as possible - all but one, in fact.

Let some of them go via free agency, maybe even a pro bowl tackle, and try to "improve" the team by letting go of the players that made you 12-4 and replace them with other free agent acquisitions that may or may not "improve" your team.

It's a good short term move for them. He'll be an upgrade for a year or two. But they give up a 2nd rounder which could potentially be a great player for 6-10+ years. Reminds me of the Redskins trading for Jason Taylor.

It helps our offense out a lot. We really struggled to work the middle of the field last year and get LB's out of the box. As far as our D goes we still need a lot of help there. Hopefully our first 5 picks are all defense.
