QB Anderson returns on one year deal

With Derek Anderson coming back, question now is whether Panthers will keep Jimmy Clausen, who is due a $923K roster bonus in the next 2 wks

Clausen was 3rd-team QB in '11 and inactive for every game. Panthers also interested in backup who can run same offense as Cam Newton.

It seems like Clausen isn't going to be here much longer.

i thought clausens roster bonus was already due? anyone know the exact date on it. maybe they're trying to get whatever they can before it's due and will cut him if they don't get an offer.

I don't know when his roster bonus is due, honestly. The roster bonuses apparently aren't all due on the day free agency/the new league year begin. For example, Kevin Kolb's isn't due until Saturday, which is a random time.
