Tolbert/stewart Or Tolbert/williams

I highly doubt we keep all three of them so who would want to keep? Personally I think our offense would be best with Tolbert and Stewart.

Then again who would want Williams or Stewarts contract.

OP: you're wrong.

GM Marty Hurney: “Mike (Tolbert)’s signing has does not mean we’re trying to trade DeAngelo (Williams) or Jonathan (Stewart)...

We’re making no attempts to trade either one of them. We’ve made no calls and will make no calls. (cont)...

i would say look beyond just the RB rotation. tolbert can perform the roles of Brockel/Shockey/Vaughn/Goodson. sit 3 of those guys down, play Tolbert (up to 5 carries, 4-5 plays in passing formations, and 10 KO/KO returns, 4-6 punt coverage snaps), and keep Williams/Stewart and have another spot on the 45-man for special teams guy or 5th CB etc. everybody's getting utilized.

Do you really think we are going to keep Williams>Stewart>Tolbert>Goodson>Vaughn>

I can see Goodson getting traded too perhaps.

Also I didn't say one of them was going to be traded, Simply a thread to talk about how they all will be used in our offense. No need to get butthurt. If another thread was made then I missed it and just merge it.

That's not what you originally asked. But anyways....Goodson and/or Vaughn could've been gone even without this signing. I won't be surprised or care if they are no longer with the team once the season begins.

Yeah, even though this is a discussion board I'd say discussing trading Williams or Stewart right now is pointless. Hurney just went out of his way to say we are keeping all 3. I'm all for it. Like someone said his value is greater than some realize because of how versatile he really is. STs is a no brainer, but also just on offense. For a guy built like a fullback he is really nimble and can catch passes out of the backfield really well. He's pretty much going to be doing what Brockel did, but better and used more often I think.

Without a doubt we can agree that at least one of them is going to be traded or not on the team. I really don't understand why we signed Tolbert unless he is going to be used in the passing game very often. I would rather stockpile on WR's for cam not Running Backs.

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
