His responses seemed pretty canned/diplomatic. I'd have liked him (or anyone) to give a real answer to "What does Cam need to do in his second season to improve?" along the lines of "Stop missing throws high and be more aware of the first down maker when he runs with it." Overall a pretty good piece though.

Yeah, no way that's happening. Players shouldn't and generally don't criticize their teammates in public.

Yeah that would have been very smart, then the media would have looked as if Ryan was calling Cam out. You don't bash teammates to the media.

What does that accomplish?? Every bronco defender said The Golden Calf of Bristol was a great qb and all the fans believed it abd claimed that they faught for him.... Yea guess who the first people texting Manning were a week before he even signed to the Broncos....

kalil is a great guy. i've been able to talk to him several times at the restaurant i work at over the years. he even asked me if i played video games and gave me his xbox 360 gamertag and i played some games with dwill and some other panthers. he has a baby daughter now and i'm glad things are going well with him. every time he has come in to my work he was completely genuine and down to earth.

    • Bryce and Dave will determine how many games this team wins next year. It’s not on the WRs. The RBs. LBs. This is about 2 things: 1. Can Bryce continue to come up big in the few key downs that decide most games?  2. Can Canales evolve his play calling to counter punch like the big boys do. Half time adjustments.  teams that score 30+ points on the regular win more games than not. That’s on Bryce and Dave. The offense is top 10 at every position group, save for TE and QB. A baller TE is gravy but not crucial when the receivers are dudes.  The defense is the defense. It’ll be better this season, hopefully by a large margin, but Dave/Bryce is really where it’s at.
    • Normally I'd wholeheartedly agree with this. But I feel like teams figured out this offense after the Raiders game. Bryce was so inept the first 2 games that we couldn't really even run the offense. Dalton's first game showed what we had. But after that game, coverages got a lot tighter and windows were smaller. When Bryce came back in, his ability to extend plays made a big difference. It's really difficult to stop a QB that can beat/escape 1on1 tacklers. It puts a lot of pressure on the defense when you blitz. And he was completing throws in tight coverage with anticipation. Point being Bryce wasn't throwing to wide open receivers that were schemed open by the offense. Occasionally yes. But not often.
    • With the additions we've made to our roster combined with the state of the division and the conference as a whole there is no excuse for this team not to make a legitimate push for 8-9 wins. Anything less is honestly inexcusable. There will be no more free passes for being a doormat in this iteration of the league where even mediocre teams are competing for playoff spots.
