Sorenson Wants Wr, Blackmon

top dawg

Recommended Posts

Tom Sorenson admits that he won't cry if we take Coples, Poe, or a solid defensive player, but he is hoping that Blackmon slips down, or that we possibly trade up.

Basically he is saying what more than a few people believe: Sometimes you just have to strike while the iron is hot. Anyway...here is the link. Moreover, he said remember how most of you were down on reaching for Newton...

Why are we the only top 5 offense going crazy over WR?

Well except maybe the Pat's but atleast all their WR are old.

All the others have deeper recieving options...also there stud leading the pack on most is younger than Smitty.

Colston and Henderson really. I love Graham But we match up well with their other weapons.

I'll give you the Pack.

Detriot really only has Megatron.

I'll take #89, Lafell, Gettis, Olson over dertriot's crew.

I wouldn't say that, notwithstanding his last line, but Sorenson is not crazy. How could we really leave Blackmon on the table at 9? Seriously.

Yes!!!

We had a top 5 offense adding another Wr won't make us stop people from putting up 485 points. Which is what we gave up last year.

I'd have to take Detriot. Smitty at this stage of his career ain't on Megatrons level. TEs are decent. Other WRs are probably close to to being a wash overall.

I agree on NO though.

I think GB, NE and Det edge us out overall

Some of you act like if Blackmon or Floyd is here. Were going to score 45 points a game.

Even if that was possible. I don't want to be the team that has to out score everybody.

Cam needs to grow with whoever will be his #1 WR for the bulk of his career.

    • Chuba was 3 yards behind the 3 gap. He was lined up weak offset I. It was a 33 dive. Chuba needed to power through off of Ekwonu's block and slip off into the 5 gap where the Tremble had the lane sealed and Rick pulled the LB out of the 5 gap. Here's a visual if you need proof. Chuba did a jump cut laterally to the 2 gap on the right side with unblocked defenders crashing down and went airborne.   This is a 33 dive that should have been slipped off the block into the 5 gap. Chuba lacked vision, but you can see Rico and Bryce staring at the intended running lane sealed off by Tremble and Ekwonu. He should have read Ekwonu's block. The blocking and misdirection is NOT set up for the right side. The play worked. Chuba failed to execute on this play. Trust who you want to, but I wouldn't suggest you argue with the video. Anyone telling you this was drawn up to go right with the blocking did not analyze it. They are correct it should have been a called dive, and it was a called dive.  This was a weak offset I bringing Tremble in motion from the right to the left.
