Hey guys, I don't know if you may remember from last year or not when we ran the Interactive Mock Draft where the team forums of each team got to vote on which player their team should take.

Well we are doing it again this year, and the Panthers are on the clock. I'm interested to see how you guys are going to vote since it could go either way here. Most of the earlier votes were fairly one sided but at this pick it should be pretty up in the air.

You can cast your vote for who you want your team to pick here:

Interactive Mock Draft

And if you explain why with a brief short description, I will pick the best one and publish it along with the pick in the results section!

Voted for Dre Kirkpatrick. As much crap I have given Dre, I have to vote for him based off the options.

He can afford improve his man to man coverage but he offers a variety of skills on the defensive side. He will help the pass coverage but his biggest asset from the secondary might be defending the run. He has great instincts and reacts really well with the ball in front of him. Great tackler as well.

I voted Coples because he was the BPA in my opinion. DT may be a bigger need and even though I think Cox will be good, I think taking him at #9 is a reach. He may not be the fastest pass rusher but he is strong and will set the edge, which will help our pooty run defense. He also can be just as effective in the 3-4 hybrid Rivera uses at times. Overall I think he'll be a very nice bookend for CJ.

Went with dre k. I've been saying it all along. Hardy will have a stellar year. He will have more sacks than cj. He will turn out to be the best D line player we have. now obviously if we draft Coples he won't have as much of an opportunity. But based on that I went with the best corner available that would fit our scheme and defense he best

    • Names I'd keep an eye on... Coby White,  Jalen Suggs, Amen Thompson  and Stephen Castle...  3 teams except Orlando has checked on Melo before and rumblings of sours getting rid of fox too. I'd think they think Melo and Wemby would make them nuclear out west.
    • Well he somehow had 12 preseason carries for not playing. He also has 20 carries in the regular season, not three. He has actually played in about 7% of the offensive snaps for this regular season(33% of the special teams snaps). This isn't stuff you have to make up, these are very easily referenced statistics, man.
    • It's not common for a RB to recover from two ACL tears in the same knee. It's fairly rare. You are correct that it isn't the career ender that it used to be but there is also the fact that we appear to have largely moved on with the additions of Dowdle and Etienne.  Dobbins is a very good example. He has basically missed 54% of his career regular season games since he came into the league in 2020. It will end up being 57% at the conclusion of this season. It's a big contributing factor to why he is on this third NFL team in 6 years. It's certainly possible that may be 4 by the beginning of next season. I would say there is very little chance that Brooks ever contributes in any meaningful way in Carolina. Possibly with another team but I am extremely skeptical of his future here because of those injuries and because of the roster.
