I think the trade was a blessing in disguise. I have a strong feeling that we would have grabbed The Golden Calf of Bristol at 17.

2009 was a bad year for the draft in general, tons of busts in the top 12. Only two solid players in the top 12, then you get a few good players through the rest of the round.

The Brown trade is the worst move. I remember Raging pretty badly when I saw this happen. Good thing I was already drinking.

yes.. that year was a weak draft, which made trading up to get a weak player even worse

the only thing worse than drafting a bust is trading up to draft a bust

Is this draft class for the Panthers the worst ever for the Panthers?

You have to add to this the Panthers were also getting fugged hard by Julius Peppers and his Franchise Tag scenario.

I hope 2013 will be a good year. We can expect at least two players this draft to be decent backups, and one decent starter. The rest will be busts. Hopefully 2013 will be decent and we can fill some more of these glaring holes. WR should be adressed in 2013 imo in the First.
