Of These 4 Draft Prospects Who Is Your Favorite?

I don't get caught up with where the guy was drafted. It means nothing once he's on the team.

If Hardy had stayed in school another year, he was projecting to be a first round pick.

Regardless of that. His first year he showed flashes as a situational pass rusher, and special teams stand out.

His play impressed me well enough, that I raised my expectations of him.

While he didn't play bad enough for me to give up on him, he didn't play well enough to remain the starter. Which means competition should be brought in.

That doesn't mean I've given up on him.

He has the talent to be a starter, but has a lot to improve upon.

I'm with P55 on the opinion, that we should be expecting 8 to 10 sacks, and much better run defense out our starting right end.

lol... okay... ;)

and the latter point explains why everyone else usually takes note of where someone is drafted..

Let the weekend begin! TGIF!

Tell me, what's the point of referencing the round he was drafted in?

he has always had the talent. That was never in questioned. If he had better overall technic, he had be a day one draft pick with his size, speed, and strength.

The only point worth mentioning what round he was drafted in, why he slipped that far. Which waa that he was incredibly raw.

for the second time, you have answered this question without my help... please don't sit here and drag this discussion out by putting blinders on about simple facts that have been known for decades..

I wish someone would compare CJ and Hardys stats at the two year mark. Though it may be squed because Hardy got more PT in his second year compared to CJ. May have to compare amount of snaps taken.

I believe Charles Johnson graded as one of the best pass rushers the year prior to starting per PFF. He was really good in 2009 despite little time on the field

I remember him playing really well that year. Think he had around 4-5 sacks and several batted passes. I think hardy is on a similar pace as CJ...Hardy had little PT in 10' and was on the field more than any other D-Lineman last year. Would really just like to see how they compared to each other at the end of there second year. But CJ played very little in 07'-08' may just have to take The number of snaps Hardy has played to date then match the equivalent for CJ.

yes I did, very clearly.. written in your words as a matter of fact...

This figures... You were being an asshole to me earlier about Hardy, as if it was fact. Me saying that I thought he would best fit as a rotational player, as opposed to Charles Johnson who I wanted in on every play, is not something I randomly thought of. It seems that other people think this as well. The guy is not beast of a player, but he does have talent, just not Charles Johnson talent. So please, stop thinking that because you have 12,000 posts on this board that your logic is undeniable.

Lol, I believe it is you who seems upset. I called you out once, while most of your post had personal insults in it. I was just making the point that when you argue, you turn into an asshole. I believe this is point in case.

I just don't think you understand what a rotational player is, and that Hardy was not a dominant force on our team last year.... He performed to the point that I want him on my team, and as our 3rd DE and rotating in quite a bit. However, I think that we need a force to be reckoned with opposite of Charles Johnson. If this was not such a pass heavy league, I think Hardy would be fine, but the fact of the matter is that CB's and DE's are growing more and more important as the league changes. I think this point can be confirmed due to the contracts being given to DE's and CB's nowadays, and how highly sought after they are in free agency.

you just called me an asshole after a rather civilized conversation with pantherclaw.. something about that civilized conversation caused you to speak up and then portray me as being an asshole everytime I have a discussion.. there is nothing that screams "u mad?" more than this.. ;)
