My Dream Draft...

Donald LaFell

Trade down to mid first

1. David Decastro - it doesn't make any sense to have a 3rd headed monster in the backfield without a solid O-line. Keep newton safe and also allow us to still use the option at will. I'd take Decastro at 9 and def around pick 16.

2nd . Lavonte David - David insurance, best web prospect in the draft.

2nd. Janoris Jenkins - take a chance on the CB in the mid 2nd if his character concerns drop him this far.

4th. Russell Wilson - I want a back QB that can run the option. Not sure if he'll make it this far or not.

5th. Brian Anger - secure a punter.

6th. James Hanna - very fast and smart TE.

6th. Vontez burfict - try to do what the bucs did with Blount. I think Rivera can get the best out of him. It would have been nice if we had singletary as the lb coach lol.

7th. Whoever you want

I'll update before draft day

Russell in the 4???? Would we be keeping 4 QBs on the roster? Because if we were cutting Pickles it would've been before he got million dollar bonus.

He never got the million dollar bonus. Darin Gantt dropped some knowledge about that on Twitter a while back. He noted that the contract's bonus only happened if Clausen reached a certain amount of active time on the team (which he didn't.)

Cooool! Wish we could trade him for ANY draft pick...still think he'll be on the roster this year. But one can only hope.

    • This is a question.  Could Coby White be a solid replacement for Ball? Seems he could be an upgrade. Seems he played well in replacement of Ball.  I normally get the highlights and don't get to see any games but I liked when White was on on the court.
    • Honestly, the guy does a TON of good research. His videos are always high quality and his insight is always stellar.  This video however changed my mind...dramatically about the draft.  Anyone who's seen my opinions knows Im a all in BPA guy, HOWEVER, this kind of changed my mind...Im now a BPA...at position of value dictated by the board.  A lot of words to say, weighted average is important. We all all know that having a good qb on a rookie contract is important, but what about a good edge...or reciever...or tackle?  THOSE things make a different and this opened my eyes to that.  With that said, not that I think we SHOULD go receiver in the first, HOWEVER, IT DOES MAKE SENSE.  If you have good young recievers coming in on rookie contracts, then you have more to build the rest of the roster at a lower cost.  If we were a team loaded at Receiver then things would be different, however, we only truly have 2 reliable WRs, so would another Receiver be a bad pick...I actually dont think so now based on value going forward.  Its just something to consider for everyone.
    • Yeah, it's fool's gold. Darnold always had the tools. He just needed a tram with an elite D, a top 5 WR, and a Super Bowl MVP RB to carry him so he wouldn't be asked to press where he becomes a turnover machine. Darnold settled in once he was in a situation where he could just be a very talented game manager. People try to tell themselves Bryce can do that without realizing that Darnold still forces the D to respect the throws he can make that the coaches would rather he not attempt where as Bryce simply doesn't have the physical ability to force that respect opening up other opportunities. Like Parcells said leading up to the draft that based on his physical tool set "he better walk on water". What he was politely trying to say is that Bryce simply doesn't have an NFL physical tool set.
