I think of the four mock drafts listed this one is by far the worst but for the fun would Carolina pass on drafting the brother of our All Pro center Ryan Kalil?

I actually saw one a couple months ago where Bucky Brooks (I believe) had Kalil falling quite far too. I don't think Marty would take the whole 15 minutes to draft him if he did go.

This has been discussed ad nauseum. He said as a precursor to this mock that it was based solely on talent from watching tape, and had zero to do with team need or off field issues. This isn't even truly a mock per se, it's a list of the 32 best guys, in order, from his breakdown of tape. So argue if you'd like about why he thinks Gilmore's tape shows more than Claiborne's (I'll save you time, he thinks Gilmore can play inside and outside both sides), but don't argue about how it is the worst mock because of who is going to who. If we had the #1 pick, he would have still 'mocked' RG3 to us in this scenario, regardless of how outrageous it would actually be. Hell, Indy has come out and confirmed they are taking Luck, yet he is still mocked 2nd overall, based on Cosell's unbiased review of tape.

So no, it's not a horrible mock if you comprehend what he is trying to do with it, which he clearly has laid out.

Cosell clearly states at the beginning that his mock is based on his analysis of player tapes and his picks reflect that. We all know that if kalil is on the board Hurney will RUN to the table and Cosell knows that too.
