Patriots Contacted Panthers About #9 Pick

The Pats are just doing their homework. Hopefully, we are doing the same.

This doesn't mean any kind of trade is likely or imminent.

Not, definitely not. But, it does mean that there is interest, and Hurney said he's definitely looking to make a trade back if we can.

    • The team had a great season all things considered and definitely overachieved.  I don't think many of us had our expectation level set at deep playoff run after the 2nd Rantanen trade. With the current league format, someone has to come out of the Metropolitan division.  Look at the teams we have to climb over to get to the ECF.  It's not exactly a division that's full of contenders.  Smack around the Islanders and the Devils and now you're in the ECF against the survivor from the better division.
    • The Canes do have one i was there when they won it. Lol It doesnt matter who you play. This team has choked away a lot of key games under Rod the dud
    • Ideal lineup for next year for me: Jarvy-Aho-Ehlers (5 yr, 8.25 mill AAV) Svech-Duchene-Hall (2 yr, 6 mill AAV) Stank-Staal-Marty Blake-Kotkaniemi/Jankowski*-Carrier *Would love it if we could somehow get out of KK's contract (even if we have to trade away a draft pick), but don't think we will   Slavin-Provorov (6 yr, 7.25 mill AAV) Nikishin-Chatty Ghost-Walker   Freddie Kooch   Luckily we have our core 4 (Aho, Jarvy, Svech, Slavin) locked up long-term. We definitely need to start thinking about extensions for Stank and Chatty and likely Blake if he is in our future plans.
