all this is under the impression that pep was double teamed much.

And I don't think I have ever seen a coach Double Team a guy that hasn't given them a reason to. Peppers is one of the best pass rushers in the league and they know that if you don't DT him he has a good chance of making a big play. Until brown shows he can do the same in the Pro's it wont happen.

Pep has the bullrush and the speed rush. If he by some chance developed a spin move he would be unstoppable. Plus he has got to be the most held DE in the league. I mean he gets held on almost every passing play. That being said, he appears to take plays off.

i think brown has the potential to be doubled more than peppers this year

I think we are all getting ahead of ourselves. We dont even know if he can take on a NFL T yet much less Two NFL Linemen.

Why double someone that dose not care to rush the passer. Double and a RB could not stop Pep in 03 and 04.

sometimes i think some of you dont even watch the game...you think beacause pep did not get a sack..he took the game off peppers was in the backfield all last season..but clady did handle him

He was handled in the Cards game as well by a back up T. He got some sacks last year but put up some piss poor performances when the good team came to town.

      I have been looking for a dropped pass list and all that comes up is QBs. And team stats. When I do receivers I get the passing stats for a handful that threw passes this year.    I wanted to be accurate but anyhow I was looking because thought I remembered reading where T Mac had more drops than XL this year.  One of you many smarter than me people here,I would appreciate it if you know how to pull that up, please do. Thank you.    And yeah I know that isn’t all there is to it I just thought it was interesting.  Of course what the hell is a drop lol.

      I agree with this and I think it's worth mentioning too that Bryce is not consistent on his placement and especially velocity and that in large part is driven by his footwork. We all know XL doesn't have the best hands and I don't know that he can overcome that. Cam always had the heater that just hit your hands and sank into your grip, where Bryce has some that are harder thrown, some soft. Bryce stepping into a pass looks so much different than that hop throw thing he does. I think XL really needs to hit the jugs machine and start learning how to catch all these different touch passes. TMac and Coker don't have these issues. If XL doesn't get some work in he's going to be out of the league in the next couple of years.

      I think most people like XL from a personal standpoint. I don't think he's stupid either. Although if we are being realistic he is lacking in football IQ at this point in time and it cannot be disputed that he has not taken working on his craft seriously at all times given the body of work on the field. It speaks for itself. I myself have defended him at times given the circumstances of our QB room. But he is now in his third year and 25 years old. We are not in a position as a franchise to go around babying anyone especially first round draft picks. He needs to take his position and his football career seriously or he is going to end up selling used cars somewhere. I hope he realizes this and takes an extended break from social media because that mess certainly isn't going to increase his net worth if he ends up out of the league. And these hanger on types will disappear quick too once that money dries up and it surely will eventually. We'll see how he responds.
