I love this guy.

  • Said he would be ready by the time camp rolls around, he's be running routes lately.
  • said he was extremely jealous of the offense and him not being able to be in it. He wanted to be in there making plays, making exciting plays with cam.
  • His speed is all the way back. It's not an Issue. He's working on his cutting, because of his ACL. He's ahead of schedule.
  • He's excited about the coming season.
  • He loves chudz offense. He likes taking big chunks of yardage. It's a win win situation with him. He recognizes he's a speedster.
  • Was asked about RG3, comparisons. "They are both incredible QB's, both Heismans winners, natural leaders." Both are dedicated and their potentials are to the sky. Similarities said athleticism. But cam has a better arm than RG3.
  • Said that they raced, RG3 and him. He beat RG3. "DG is faster than RG3.". Hah. Nice.
  • He likes RG3. They are good friends and is excited about him going to the NFL. Except when they face each other.
  • Said the he feels we can reach the playoffs if they minimize the mistakes and keep the mentality they had last year. Play mistake free football and make plays. "We have the talent, we just need to put in together."
  • Asked about the Bounty scandal. "I really dont' know too much about the situation, can't really speak on it. I was always thought if you do the crime, you do the time." "As far as specifics, bounty system or if they had anything to do about it, I can't speak about it too much."

He says he's up to full speed but, that working on his cuts is the most important thing after an ACL. Said he was jealous watching the offense do so well last season.

Said that he'll go for the deep ball if he needs to and get open in the time allotted. Spoke highly of Chud's Offensive system and the way they go for big chunks of yardage.

Said he used to race RG3 and won, "DG is faster than RG". Said it's tough to compare Cam and RG3 because they are both Heisman winners, born leaders, excellent QBs.

Didn't have too much of an opinion on Bountygate since he didn't know if the players were actually guilty but, said he'd learned, "If you did the crime, you've got to do the time."

Speed's completely back, he's excited to work with a great qb like Cam. Currently working on cuts, route-running. Thinks his speed and Cam's deep ball ability are a great fit for Chudzinski's offense. Didn't seem to want to compare Cam to RGIII. Thinks both have sky-high potential, says the obvious in regards to similarities and differences. (Cam more powerful, RGIII faster.)

Thinks RGIII has grown a lot in the past year, in regards to his charisma and how he's reached out to people, in comparison to where he was when Gettis was at Baylor. Agrees with Rivera that this team has the potential to see the playoffs.

Didn't have much commentary on Bountygate, didn't take a position either way.

Damn you, Gallagher!

I hope that summarizes it. I should have done that earlier, my bad.

Johnathan Stewart was on the drive and he had a really bad case of the "you knows". It kind of opened my eyes why not every athlete likes to do interviews. He said "you know" so many times he infected the show hosts. It made me think about the way I talk because I probably do it to.

Fugin love me some Gettis. Like he said, I was too disappointed that he didn't get to display his talents in our offense last season.

Gettis is gonna blow up this year watch.

Some rookie qb (I think oshwieler sp?) Was so rough I started counting on an Espn interview. Atleast 7 per question capping with 21 "you knows" in his last answer. Then I think they had Jobn Harbaugh on and it was so bad it seemed to have affected both he and suzy during bis interview.

    • He’s kind of overrated to be honest. Never really felt like a true #1 or elevated his play to become a guy the defense really has to worry about.
    • I'm going to be real, the reason that vote ended up so lop-sided by the end was directly due to my programming. So there's nothing tongue in cheek about it. Also I left PFF after the Collinsworth acquisition (didn't want to move to Cincy) but have stayed involved in analytics via backdoor channels, but I can absolutely say that the experience was eye-opening, not because those guys are unquestionable football savants and that I became one by proxy, but because the amount of information that becomes available outside of what the typical fan has access to is revelatory and also really drives home how much context is still being missed even with all of that information. You don't discover that you know everything, you discover how much you still can't know no matter how hard you try, hence my point about the NFL not being able to figure out what makes a QB good. There's a lot of AI work going into that now and even that only seems to further confuse things vs. actually enlighten the problem. In the professional realm teams don't really talk about quarterbacks as A strictly being better than B, but how A can potentially perform better than B given a specific context of C. Of course those contexts may be wider for A than B, but there's also contexts where B can outshine A, even with lesser talent surrounding them. So what good teams strive to do is ultimately define a process of how they want their entire team to operate under schematically, find players that fit that scheme, and hopefully find a guy whose skillset will be maximized running that scheme with those players. Where bad teams fall of the wagon is constantly shifting those schemes and chasing bad fits or fads vs. sticking with a core identity and developing it.
    • there is a 100 mile long list of NFL players and coaches going to bat and defending horrible play from teammates.
