Players We Will Regret Passing On In The Draft?

Recommended Posts

Joe Adams>Ryan Broyles

I would have preffered Cordy Glenn if we were going to pick a Guard but I hope I'm wrong. Also would have liked to have taken a 7th Rd flyer on Burlfict or Denard.

I agree that Glenn seems like the safer pick. I hope Amini turns out to be the beast that the team believes that he will.

Agreed on Glenn. Also would have liked to have moved up on either Devon Still or Brandon Thompson at DT.

Neither of those DT's are better than the young guys that we already have.

I think that Cox and prob Brockers were the only DT's in this draft that would likely be upgrades.

Dumb thread. This is like when people look back at drafts from 5-10 years ago and "OH MAN WE COULDA HAD THIS GUY INSTEAD OF THIS GUY!!!1!"

Is it wrong to think that someone being disappointed we didn't get Glenn implies this person thinks they know better than our scouts? We clearly went for potential, higher ceiling, and nastier attitude than going with the safe Glenn. I hear everyone cry about taking too many safe picks, but when we take a risk and go for a player with greater potential and better attitude, people will bitch anyways. I know we can't please everyone, but it seems people will find any reason to complain. Don't think "we didn't get Glenn". Think "we could have easily gotten Glenn, but we didn't like him."

    • I would say that seems like an odd comment from Morgan, but at the same time it's almost impossible to find a college QB declaring for the draft to have less physical ability than BY so you can assume almost anyone you bring in would be your go to QB sneak/designed run guy.
    • Gronk is the best TE of all time, but he also played with Brady. Clarke was great, but had Peyton and in an era TE's didn't make crazy money. Kittle is great, but the two times he's made the SB, he was still on his rookie contract for one, and the other the 49ers had Purdy on a cheap rookie deal which help them build the rest of the roster. So again, it's not about not wanting an elite TE, of course it would be nice.  But realistically, in today's NFL, unless that elite TE with a top end TE salary is on a team with a GOAT level QB and/or other serious cap savings (i.e. key players on rookie deals), then I think it's not a good use of cap space.
    • This place was the poo pre tepper with tons of hilarious posters like phillyB. Joined in the 2000s during the 07 season and have been here bitching about this team since. but yeah its sadly been dying a slow death, every time I come to this site I am surprised its still up. I think the 2015 season was the absolute peak, the Panthers and this board especially just haven't "felt" the same since then. Igo should really sell the board since he clearly doesn't care anymore. Also, Reddit blows and the Bryce defenders on there need Jesus.
