We May Have Found Cams Future Backup In A Tryout Player

The funny thing to me is all these people think the "scrambling" QB is something new. Does anyone in the NFL remember Steve Young or John Elway. They both were Scrambling QB;'s Both had over 3500 yards in their career in a time when Coaches had no idea what a weapon like a scrambling QB could do for them.

Let’s not forget about Warren Moon or Randle Cunningham either both scramblers one just a better all around QB than the other.

Maybe he has been a Dwayne Jarret of QB's? College level talent that couldn't grasp the NFL game/playbook/offense/fill in the blank.

Also possible. Which is why I said it isnt at all a certainty that it happens. Just that some of the intangibles are ideal for what we would need as a backup with a skillset similar to cam.

Hell I remember Fran Tarkenton-not the best runner as a QB (although 4th all time), but the most elusive in the backfield I've ever seen.

Brown is kind of raw-only started one year and was kind of banged up. QB is such a crap shoot in the NFL, he may or may not get the chance he needs to stick with a team and show what he's got.

He was kinda screwed in College...he sat behind Pat White all the way up to his senior year. Then when he finally gets his shot they completely flipped everything he just spent all those years learning. He only started for that one year and they changed the whole offensive system with the coaching change.

He is no where near a Cam talent, but hes worlds better than Clausen...and I think he can make a good #3 in our system.
