Rivera Was Right To Keep Beason In The Middle

Recommended Posts

I was just thinking this the other day. Keuchly is our attempt at covering Jimmy Graham and Darren Sproles. I honestly believe this was our thinking going into the draft, counter your opponents advantage with either Keuchly or Barron.

Still want stop them from dismantling Capt. every time he is on the field but it will help.

Did some of you seriously think a rookie LB was going to replace an All-Pro ILB & defensive captain in the prime of his career?

You realise Beason didn't play last season and is coming off surgery for a torn achilles, right? That takes him out of the 'All Pro/Prime of his Career' category until he proves he's back.

You realize it's sports & not a tea cup party, right? Guys get injured all the time. Beason will be a monster this season.

Yes...and injuries like this have ended guy's careers.

I expect Beason to be back and play at a high level this year. But, to shrug it off and think that your favorite player is somehow Super Human is naive at best.

I think that Beason will be back this year, very close to full strength. But as I said before, it's not Beason that I'm worried about, it's Davis. Keeping Beason in the middle allows Davis a breather and gives Kuechly needed NFL experience. Re-signing Senn was a good move and we've got some decent backups behind him.

So Peyton Manning isn't a top 5 QB anymore?

Adrian Peterson isn't a top 3 RB anymore?
