The craken himself is in a recent NFL.com article highlighting some players geared for a breakout 2012...

"Greg Hardy, DE, Panthers: Carolina coach Ron Rivera is extremely high on this talented third-year player.

"Hardy has been tremendous," Rivera said. "Talk about growth in a young man. He's really matured in terms of being here every day on a voluntary basis, for the most part. I really am excited about him."

Hardy had four sacks last season and also moved from end to tackle at times. He was able to play inside at times because he weighed close to 290. Rivera said Hardy is closer to "278, 279 now," which would probably keep Hardy at end, opposite hard-working end Charles Johnson. There were high expectations of Hardy last season, but he was slowed by a motorcycle accident just before training camp.

The idea that Hardy will develop into a solid player kept the Panthers from selecting a defensive end in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Carolina did select Oklahoma defensive end Frank Alexander in the fourth round."

That's not a very glaring endorsement.

He's really been mature to come to practice all of the time, sometimes.

      I member him staying after practices with only to see he was wearing heavy weight vest, one of his trademarks. He also put in 10 years, right? People forget he was the ST stud that called the snap and made sure everyone lined up right. He was one of the "glue" guys that bought his "lunch pail" to work.... He was a willing solider, all teams need a couple of them. He blocked for sooo many panthers RBs- Davis, lane, Williams, foster, goings and when there was huge injuries he took over the starter duties and had a couple 100 yard games. If you followed hoover, he took the perfect RB path cause he was just a slow heavy one himself....

      Walker likely depends on a couple of things. What exactly did Dan promise him, to start with.  How much other interest he actually had for a starter job at high pay is another question. It isn’t outside the realm of possibility that he could stay on as a swing tackle waiting to take Moton’s spot when it opens.    I can’t get myself to consider Icky as a viable anything until we see him back on the field.     Hunt seems to be a team player and good guy but I don’t think he is worth what he is being paid. I have him tentatively earmarked for cap causality in the near future.
