You can take US 340 from Intercourse, PA to Bird in Hand, PA. You can turn north to get to Blue Ball, PA.

The westernmost point of North Carolina is further west than Detroit.

The easternmost part of the Panama Canal is on the Pacific Ocean while the westernmost is on the Atlantic.

Toronto is further south than parts of at least 14 US states.

Great stuff - the second fact took me aback more than any other. So cool! I am writing a trivia round and am going to use 2 or 3 of these as questions.

A few others:

Portland, Oregon is over 130 miles north of Toronto

Istanbul is the only city that spans 2 continents.

Brazil was named after the nut, not the other way around.

Ohio has no natural lakes.

Hmm, I thought Brazil was named after the waxing procedure.

Alaska is the northernmost, easternmost and westernmost state.

You can drive US 522 from Virginia, pass through West Virginia and Maryland and enter into Pennsylvania in less than 30 minutes.

Virginia is extends further west than West Virginia.

Is Kentucky in the south? Its one state away from Canada.

Philadelphia and New York City are closer together than Charlotte and Greensboro.

So Indiana doesn't count?

it only borders like 1/4th of KY's northern border. go to google maps. find summit, ky. go directly north. after ohio, you'll find some blue. that's a great lake. in that blue, you'll find a black line. the other side of that black line is canada

    • I'll say 6. I don't know that we learned a whole lot about this team during preseason that we didn't already know. We didn't play the starters enough to really get a feel for what to expect. We had one good drive against the Browns, one 3-and-out and two 3-and-outs against the Texans. That's an extremely small sample size across 3 games regardless of performance. My camp/preseason takeaways: Jalen Coker might be the best WR on this team and is certainly no worse than #2. Nic Scourton is going to be a good player for us. Possibly very good. Bobby Brown was our best free agent addition and will do more to help the defense than anyone. Jack Plummer isn't an NFL QB. Not even a practice squad guy. Having anyone other than Canales and Evero call plays was a really stupid and pointless idea. Our depth is largely non-existent, especially on defense. The three areas we actually DO have depth are on the OL, in the WR corp. and at RB. I can't fathom why Dan Morgan didn't do more to upgrade ILB during the offseason. We better hope Lathan Ransom steps up at FS because if he doesn't we have a massive hole there. For all the hype surrounding Sanders and Evans, Tommy Tremble is still the best TE on the roster. I'm only slightly less enthusiastic going into the regular season than I was a month ago. I think our starters on offense are solid and we should be pretty good there unless Bryce totally regresses. On defense, we're probably bottom 3rd in the league if 100% healthy and significantly worse than that if injuries become an issue. We badly need at least two of our rookies to become high-level players early (ideally one of the pass rushers + Ransom) and at least 2 of our free agent additions (ideally Moehrig + Bobby Brown) to be significant upgrades over last year. Call me pessimistically optimistic 😆
    • 2010 was worse. Not much worse but worse.
    • Lol since 2017 the Panthers are 47-85,    Also since 2017 the Giants are 40-91-1   Lol
