jamal lee got drafted in the CFL draft today..

Is this what happened so we got the other RB?

Or is he still technically ours seeing he signed with the Panthers or what have you...?

I dunno how this whole deal works.

he is still here..but the CFL is thinking he will get cut...i hope we find a place for him his speed and size does not come along everyday

I believe Lee is expected to be cut as he's the #4 HB at the moment on the roster. So the CFL team traded 2 of its 1st round picks to move up and snag him.

They don't have any right to him, until the Panthers let him go.

I realize we've already got great depth at the running back position, but I really hope we end up keeping Lee.

This might sound cooky, but what if we ended up keeping only four true receivers and four backs, keeping in mind that Goodson could fill in as a return man or slot reciever?

WR: Smith, Muhammad, Jarrett, Robinson (?)

RB: Williams, Stewart, Goodson, Lee

It seems we've picked up a lot of talent this year, and will be forced to let some very skilled players go that we might otherwise have kept. I guess that's a good problem to have.

Yea I think that is what he meant. He was answering the "Is this what happened so we got the other RB?"

I read that Lee was getting the coaches attention but I think he will be one of those players you hate to cut...

from what ive heard hes just using the cfl as a fall back option if he gets cut. as the number three overall pick for the cfl hell be makings something like 50,000 this year but as a backup for us making league rookie minimum hed be making something like 350,000 this year.

The dude is a freak but I think the CFL team will be safe. I dont see us keeping him unless he just tears it up in Camp and the first Pre-season game.
