Been motivated lately. Another 445 wake up this am. I've decided I'm going to put the effort in to get as big as I was about four years ago ( around 215, currently 175)

Don't you feel so much better being 175 though?

Not sure how tall you are though. I'm 6 feet and I was 225 a couple years ago, dropped to 175 last year and felt awesome. 175 isn't something I can sustain so 200 for me is a perfect weight. I lift somewhat heavy and can still run 20 minutes if needed. Hated being 225, yeah I could push more but it was so inconvenient.

I've cut 9 pounds in the last 2 weeks thanks to a strict diet of alcohol and not eating lol. CountryFest really did a number on me and I got WeFest in Detroit Lakes coming up in August.

Been eating like a pig just to get calories back in me and not doing cardio last couple days.

5 11 & 3/4s ... I have a naturally broad chest and thick lower body.. I tell everyone I'm built to look strong not to be strong. I don't honestly look that much different at 175 vs 215. It was mainly in my arms I think. I would rather be bigger given the choice.

Did chest yesterday and was all psyched up ready to hit it hard and I tweaked my (non repaired) right shoulder 3rd set in...  argh.

Rest of the workout was a complete letdown.

I blame Jase.

Sorry to hear that.  Odd that it happened on your 3rd set.  I could see it happening from not being warmed up enough.  Maybe you were dehydrated or something.  Hope it's nothing serious.  Cheers

It was incline dumbbells with 100s and when I kicked them up I kinda lost the one a bit in the right hand and in the process of controlling it I let it push my shoulder down weirdly...

I don't have a problem getting up it's just that my body is really stiff in the mornings and it takes a while to get hydrated. I've heard that your more likely to get injured in the mornings due to this.

I'm incredibly stiff and unmotivated in the mornings. A few days ago, I didn't have to work until later, so I went to the gym as soon as it opened.

This week I'm not lifting at all - doing all cardio and HIIT. That morning, I had a HIIT workout planned that would have taken 15-20 minutes, then I was going to run for 5 miles. What I actually did: HIIT for about 5 minutes, ran for 3/4ths of one mile.

That day taught me not to waste my free mornings at the gym.

I've tried working out (lifting) early in the morning as well and I can't really get motivated and then if I do, by 10 or 11 AM I am exhausted at work.  Not worth it for me... but I know some people feel the exact opposite.

I've been kind of bleh this week all week... I think I finally figured out it's a sleep issue...  my wife started a new schedule this week and we were getting up at 6AM for her to make it in on time, and I think I'm just so tired in the afternoons that even my pre isn't helping much... may need to start hitting the sack earlier or taking an afternoon office nap.

Had to take a couple of days off for a kidney stone...dear jesus, I would rather be repeatedly flicked in the balls for a week than go through that again.  Though the instant relief when it came out compares to that of the most intense of orgasms.  Being off for a couple of days made me feel like poo and tried to get at it last night and had zero energy.  Hopefully tonight will be better.

I like working out in the mornings. It is tough but once I got into the routine it got easier. I get up at 5am and I'm at the gym by 5:45 or so. I have started going to bed at 9:30 instead of 10:30 or 11 like I used to. Makes me feel old but it's for a good reason at least.

Exact same boat. Feeling old going to bed so early.

How did everyone do over the weekend?

I'm worn out, between eating right, working out, yard work, cleaning the house and trying to be active with my kid, oh yeah and that thing called working for a living. I feel/want to sleep for two days straight, wake up and eat a bunch of chicken wings and ice cream.

Decent...

Hit shoulders pretty hard Friday afternoon with Joscott and took Saturday off.  My wife roped me in to go clean condos at Topsail Beach with her on Saturday... bleh, that sucked.

Joscott and I had a really hard chest workout yesterday morning.  I'm surprised I'm not more sore than I am today.  Probably hit me later.

Confused

Best weekend I've had since I started this. Ate right and even worked out both days, normally I take the weekends off. Yesterday my meals couldn't have been healthier but I get on the scale this morning and I had gained a pound.

No comprende

    • Yep he made the comment " I dont know what they were doing out there at that point" in the press conference. Let's be real they all got paid but they also know his system suppresses there offensive potential.
    • Yup the casuals on Facebook ive gotten 85 laughing or angry emojis so far for pointing it out.  The amount of them throwing a fit because the canes were booed is insane
    • Why are you so fixated on yards? Even if yards were a good judge of QB play, his low yardage totals in some of those games were partly a function of drops (looking at you Xavier Leggette…).  I’m not advocating that Bryce was elite for the last half of last year, but the eye test certainly supported high level QB play for large stretches. He made a lot of high difficulty, put it on the money/drop in the bucket throws. He converted on 3rd and 4th down, kept drives moving, and put the team in position to win games. And it’s not on him that the defense blew it late after he led game tying drives, Leggette dropped a game winning TD, or Chuba fumbled the ball in OT. We could have finished the season close to .500 with wins against 3 playoff teams including KC and Philly during that stretch largely due to Bryce’s play.    Has he sustained this level of play long enough to deserve an higher ranking? No. But for judging based in that stretch alone, he would. But whether he can perform more consistently at that level or build on that, and thus earns a higher ranking, remains to be seen.
