based on that info and peterson's high character it sounds like the cops were being jackasses.

cops are always jackasses but that doesn't mean they deserve all the blame. i'm sure AD has a pretty big ego and obviously has a mean streak in him. i read somewhere the cop told him to leave twice and peterson said "i heard you the first time" and proceeded to shove the cop.

3 sides to every story. I think it'll end up a non-issue.

If he shoved a cop he would be charged with a lot more than resisting.

They were likely in an ego argument; cops kept telling him to leave, and he kept saying 'hold on' or 'i'm getting some water,' and that pissed them off so they said you're under arrest. At which point he was like 'fine, i'll go' and turned to leave, and by that time cop ego was in full swing and they jumped him.

The officer told Peterson he was under arrest and to put his hands behind his back. Peterson began yelling, pulled away and "assumed an aggressive stance," so another off-duty officer came to help. A second officer arrived to help. Peterson struggled with both officers, causing a third to join in.

Peterson was then arrested and jailed. He complained of shortness of breath when he arrived but was cleared by medical personnel."

I like peterson and am not so inclined to believe he would do that, but if he did how is that "no big deal" or just a "non story". I don't know what you guys do in your spare time but I tend not to just walk around pushing cops, but I'm not a multi millionaire with money to burn so theres also that.
