Derek Anderson

I thought Anderson looked pretty solid as a backup last night. He seemed to give the WRs a chance on several occasions by dropping back quickly, getting the ball out and putting it where either our guy catches it or it's incomplete.

Bad luck on the Ajoritutu play. That falls on Ajirotutu.

But Anderson did a good job on the 2-minute warning. I think if he would've finished out the game or they put Clausen in with like 2 mins left, we probably would've won. Regardless, I feel a bit more confident about our backup situation now.

I mean we all have to realize this was Good Derek. Good Derek = nice passes, good decisions, Pro Bowl season.

Bad Derek = my God. Awful.

Doesn't that remind you of Jake some?

And as much as Iove Jake, what does it say that a player with similar characteristics technically goes from long-term starter in this organization to well-respected backup? it says we're moving forward well.

Thought we got a steal with DA and still feel that way. He was crucified by the media for laughing when his team was losing.

He made some good throws in Texans game and to bad Pickles still makes us Pucker every time he toutches the ball!!!

Goooo Panthers!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • I dont think people realize how hard it is to find a consistent starting QB in the NFL. Byrce will not heart us to a SB but I do think he can manage to get us one or close..go all in on defense and change the Offensive passing game and play calls. I really think our biggest problem is our HC.  Take New Orleans QB for example, switch him and Bryce and I promise you it'll look similar or worse. New Orleans OC is levels ahead of Canales. And as far as the draft goes, in this division with as much rb talent as we face ..the answer...this guy:    Pick up a couple edge rushers in FA along with a corner and plug this guy in Rozeboom's spot. Defense solved. But only if we get a top tier rusher on that dline....jus saying
    • I think I'm going to the game in Los Angeles vs Paraguay, and the England / Croatia game here in Dallas since my mom is British.  For decent seats anywhere in the building(s) it looks like it will be upwards of $7k for the two games.  Insane. Just for perspective, you could buy field level EPL tickets for any one of the top sides in the league, and it would be 10% of the price you'll pay for crappy seats at the World Cup.
    • Meh… I knew this thread would turn into a Bryce/Tua comparison, when they couldn’t be further apart situations.   Dolphins catered there whole offense toward Tua, they brought in a coach that would run a Tua friendly offense, the went in got the best most explosive WR in the NFL and paired him the fastest WR in that years draft. Panthers have done the opposite, they went and got a Pete Carroll disciple who likes to run the ball under center, they drafted big slow WR who got little separation in college. Literally the polar opposite of Bryce’s scouting report coming out of Alabama.   Tua was a decent QB 2 years ago, but the concussions, lack of movement have caught up to him. He never had a great arm to begin with but now since he doesn’t want to get hit he’s taking the whole offense down with him.
