do not get drunk and do flips while holding the hand rails. . . they dont like that. Other than that yes its great

oh yeah leaving can take awhile since many people speed walk to it as soon as the whistle blows. Just take your time when your leaving since youll probably have to wait for at least one train to go before you get on.

here's what i would do: buy a round trip at the 485 station. ride it all the way to the end on 7th street. eat on that side of town (queen city q, that other bbq place in founder's hall, fitzgeralds, even some stuff at the epicentre is ok, if you feel like spending too much for food, try aria) then ride back down to stonewall and walk to the stadium.

actually i'd walk to the stadium from the 7th street station to catch some of the street musicians. nao barber ftw

Did it on Saturday night because the kids like to ride and we always do it the first preseason game. It is safe but it is surely packed like sardines especially going back from the stadium. Plus the wait after the walk can be 15-20 minutes and no guarantee you will get on right away. If you haven't done it, it is fine. But honestly you can park close to the Stonewall Station for 5 bucks, tailgate, and leave at your leisure with no wait or crowds. I definitely don't think it is easier, or better than driving yourself. Also remember you can't bring any alcohol on the light rail even in a cooler or bag.

It's fine going, but as others have said, it is extremely crowded when leaving the game, and I've encountered a few obnoxious drunks in the past. Personally it doesn't bother me, but I've had my young son with me on a few occasions, and the way some have behaved was not really something I wanted to expose my son to. But barring children, it's no problem at all- unless you are claustrophobic.

Yes if you're worried about crowds, the 485 bound train isn't the place to be for a few hours after games. But I've never been to a Friday night game so I'm not sure what to expect. You've only got a few hours until the rail closes for the night, so I don't recommend walking around unless you know your way.

Best bet is to just deal with the crowd. The longer you wait for the train, the more crowded it will get. The rental cops start getting antsy when you sit while a train or two have passed.

    • OK, we are letting our top RB go.  We have Chuba, Etienne, and Brooks.  Imagine a player who could LEGITIMATELY play the slot and back up at RB?  I am sure he'd be a special team player as well.  I noticed him at the combine, and thought, "Here is a late rounder who could stand out as a slot and provide depth at RB. Without further ado....(I know one Huddler who might be able to tell us more about this guy): Navy running back/wide receiver Eli Heidenreich headlined the 2026 NFL Combine for the Midshipmen, running an official 4.44-second 40-yard dash and recording 16 reps on the bench press. Recognized as a versatile, "Swiss army knife" offensive weapon, Heidenreich solidified his draft stock as a potential day three target.    Eli Heidenreich (RB/WR - Navy) 2026 Combine Performance: 6'0" 200 lbs.   40-Yard Dash: 4.44 seconds. 10-Yard Split: 1.55 seconds. Vertical Jump: 35.5 inches. Broad Jump: 10' 0". Bench Press: 16 Reps. Highlights: Showcased as a premier receiving threat from the backfield, having left Navy as the program's all-time leader in receiving yards (1,994). High character.  Smart.  Maybe, just maybe....
    • These refs are horrible.  They definitely got money on this game lol.
    • I don’t think the concept is bad thinking. That money this year is a ball buster, for getting nothing out of it.    gives him a little future location security and maybe hope that if he can get back we’ll pay him, with a renegotiation. Could give us some relief this year. That is kind of creative.
