Frank Alexander/Thomas Keiser > Greg Hardy

Ever since like Week 14 last year Keiser has been showing up in games. No matter who's it against, when he's called upon, he's there

I don't care who happens to "start" games but we should definitely use him when it seems fit this season

Um, we did....

Last year was the 2nd season for both JPP and Hardy.

JPP 1st rounder

Hardy 6th rounder

Its called development.

It is not like Hardy was terrible last season although he fell off the last half of the season. Hardy flashed enough positives for me to want to see live bullets...so before you guys want him cut...be careful for what you wish for.

Development doesn't mean continue to give Hardy more reps than he deserves.

I don't want him cut or benched. I just want him to share more reps until someone shows they deserve starting DE reps

He's the incumbent right now. Until someone else shows that they deserve starter reps then they'll get them, but right now neither Keiser or Alexander have shown that.

point was Hardy has never shown he deserves starting DE reps. he should be used in a heavier rotation until someone steps up. Kieser has been the most productive with his reps....dating back to the regular season of 2011. Kieser is showing he deserves more reps.....they are Hardy's to give up.

He's never shown he deserves starting DE reps?

According to PFF he had more pressures than Charles Johnson last year, he posted a +6.2 pass rusher rating, and his 33 QB hurries were on the same level as the Suggs, Freeny's, and Jared Allen's of the league.

CRA- I dont mean that Keiser isnt a productive high energy guy. Hardy meets more of a 4-3 prototype DE than Keiser does and like when AL Wallace was in a rotation he was extremley productive. As a starter not so much.

Even though Hardy's name hasnt been called often I havent seen him as a libility on the line as of yet. The Run Defense has been good last two games and a healty dose of our DTs being healthy and Hardy a year stronger and smarter will surely pay dividends.

Would you feel better if Hardy got the kneel down tag sack on The Golden Calf of Bristol? It would not have made much difference to me.

Yeah, he has comparable hurries.....yet not even in the ballpark of those guys when it comes to making the play.

A hurry can be a TD for the opponent. That stat doesn't wow like some.

Hardy can still get the starting nod. I am cool with that.....he just needs to lose some reps. With a guy like Kieser and his nose for the football....you simply need to give him the chances and let him prove it to be a fluke thing if that is what it is.

And I base that more on 2011 than this preseason
