Yeah, that's what I thought. I know the guy from the Heels and saw he had been added a couple weeks ago. I thought, maybe...JUST MAYBE, they finally told the worst beat writer in the NFL to take a hike.

Coverage of the Panthers in the Charlotte Observer has always been soporific--at best. Beat reporters have been afraid to ask tough questions and write insightful pieces that truly reveal what's going on. The columnists are predictable. Tom Sorensen will try to be sarcastic and make fun of people who live in Myers Park. Scott Fowler will try to be controversial because it's a technique he read about somewhere.

My barber knows more about the Panthers than the beat writers and columnists at the Observer.

since we're pretty much a milquetoast fanbase you kind of have to expect to have milquetoast beat writers that are too polite to ask good questions and take their writing, analysis, and coverage seriously.
