ehhh...you learn what threads to avoid taking part in.

these certain topics seem to find their way into new threads a few times a week and end up with the same lame discussions going around and around and around and around.

they have all been really predictable and the amazing thing is that anyone who gets really involved in them think that they will ever be able to change anyone's mind about it or they their panties so wadded up that they have to come in here and start fighting even though it's going to be the same discussion over and over again.

Your right. Some of us keep beating our heads against the wall when the truth is that those that continue to rail ad nauseum about the same thing in every thread want to stir up controversy and argue and insult others not discuss issues. I just need to get better at not taking the bait.

Yes it's much more pleasant when one ignores certain posters altogether. Not because they have opposing views because that's no biggie, but because of the way they go about expressing themselves. Initiating namecalling and insults in response to a normal discussion comes from a position of weakness in their arguments. Nyah nyah I got nothing so I will call people names!!!!!11111! I'm an awesome internet hardass!!!!! W00t!

usually the posters that get sucked into it i don't have problems with on a majority of topics but they have one or two that they seem to get all riled up about and get totally sucked in. once i see that they have started in on that topic i either just sit back and laugh or avoid the whole thing. leaning more towards avoiding it, though...it gets boring.

The "insults" and name calling is not meant to be that offensive. Why so many take posts on a messge board personal I'll never know.

it seems you are a bit aggressive in going after those arguments as well...if there is a pep contract thread, you're going to be right there doing the same thing.

btw....the insults,

- No personal attacks are tolerated.
it's against the rules whether you think it's a big deal or not. you have been doing a bit of this and i'm surprised that you haven't had any infractions so far. people have gotten more for less than you have gotten away with.

Why would someone take a comment addressed to them and not in response to an insult already delivered by them as personal or offensive? Come on now.

I am far from the oversensitive type or PC type, I just think that in the context I described (A serious context and unprovoked, not a joking context.) it's utterly juvenile and shows more about the insulter than the insultee.

      Roger all that. Do you think BY avoided any sacks last game? This oline is not what you're touting them to be. They are much better then 2023! Much much much better than 2023. But come on now, you'd expect this expensive oline (most are run blocking specialist) to at least dominate in the run game every game.  And... I keep telling you our WRs and TEs are not that good yet. I mean last Sunday was a prime example. Our receiving targets never make plays like those. Never. And this is from one of the worst teams in the league. Shough could have easily had 3 INTs if not for his receivers making plays on the ball. Our guys just don't do that. XL almost allowed an INT backing up out of bounds instead of coming to the ball. And everyone would have blamed that on BY. That's why he doesn't throw to that dude. I can't recall a game except maybe the second Falcons game - maybe, where I thought our receivers could possibly be better than the other team's. I think TMac and Coker have a lot of potential. But they're aren't consistent. But they're young and WILL improve. I'm confident of that.  I don't agree that BY was drafted to only stand in the pocket. He has always been best off schedule - for better or worse.

      Do you think you will get a direct answer?  Icky giving up 5 pressures (playing hurt in his defense) by himself and Bryce only getting sacked once tells you he played well in the pocket.  He extended plays and converted some tough downs.

      I've been very apprehensive about potentially firing yet another head coach. But Canales needs to focus on being a head coach first and foremost and begin handing off some responsibilities like playcalling duties and begin overseeing the entire team or we need to assess all possible ideal HC candidates in the offseason.
