First off, the players who've scored on our STs are Hester and Peterson last year and Holliday this preseason, who I think will be in the same tier as the other two this season. I don't mind giving up returns to the best returners in the game. It's like playing Aaron Rodgers, or any other elite player. You know they are going to score on you, you just have to do your best to keep up, which we cam.

Second, I'm all for pursuing great ST players, but this move reminds me of the Kasay and Lloyd thing. A good ST player should fill another role as well, not just be a specialist. It's true for gunners as well as KRs and PRs. I just don't see Jones adding to our secondary, when what we should be concerned with is not letting Julio, Cruz, Marshall, D Jackson, V Jackson (I could go on) get over the top on us.

I would rather have a great ST coach.I cannot believe our ST sucking can be all players other than the return guys.We just brought in Tolbert ,Nakamura and Reggie Smith as ST aces

"Everybody keeps saying he's a tailback. But he's a fullback to us," Panthers coach Ron Rivera said of Tolbert at last week's NFL Annual Meeting in Palm Beach, Fla. according to the Charlotte Observer. "Because again, we saw how we had used him in San Diego. We just thought this is a guy we'd love to have. ... If you can put an athletic, play-making fullback there, I think it helps you."

Most people thought Poole would make the roster. Most NFL teams carry 3 HBs and a FB.

We pretty much are. Tolbert isn't a normal FB, so even though we're keeping two FB's in name (assuming Brockell makes it), it's really 2 RB, 1 FB, and RB/FB hybrid.

Prediction: Armanti makes the cut, but isn't on the team as of Monday. We usually grab 2-3 waiver wire guys after the cuts.

my thinking as well.

if he stays. though, it's probably got more to do with JR forcing him to stay on the roster than anything. he was pretty adamant last year about making sure he had a thought and sounded absolutely sure of his talent and that it was only a matter of time.

only thing i'm sure of is it's time to move on. he won't be that hard to replace on the roster and app st. fans will get over it.
